Which "missing or unavailable" Disney character would you like to see in the Parks ?

Simba!! I know you can see him in the Lion King show at DAK, but I'd love to see him walking around the parks.

I'd love to meet the Robin Hood Characters! We're going in May, and I am on a mission! It was my favorite as a kid... and I still have lots of great memories tied up in that one. Great Mouse Detective, too. Basil would be AWESOME. Kida from Atlantis would please my DH VERY much. He thinks she's hot. I want to meet Shang from Mulan for similar reasons!! :sunny: I second the motion for Captain Jack Sparrow, and I'd also like to see some characters from the older movies, like Davy Crockett and Johnny Tremain. Oh, and Jack or Sally from NBC! Have to get Jack some stilts, though...

I would love to see Captain Jack Sparrow too!

I have very bad luck trying to meet Peter Pan and Wendy! I saw them near Peter Pan's flight and they were walking fast with a group of children behind them. I followed them but they all disappeared into a private door!
Then I saw them again in MK another day, but as I joined the queue to meet them, the cast member said the queue was closed!
Then I saw Wendy on the Disney Cruise, but she disappeared down some stairs! :( Is there anywhere where I am bound to meet them?

My first trip to WDW, I had to see the Orange Bird. I'd love to see him agian!

The Sunshine Tree Terrace itself is a quiet and happy place, mostly because it is thankful to not have been torn down yet! This is where the Florida Citrus Growers (original sponsors of the Sunshine Pavilion complex) offered orange juice and other citrus concoctions, plus a chance to meet their Disney-created mascot, the Orange Bird. He is one of the many walkaround characters from the Magic Kingdom's early years that have long since been out of sight. A smaller likeness of the Orange Bird sat in the branches of the actual Sunshine Tree...a beautiful sculpted work that formed a faux foliage canopy behind and above the serving counter. The Orange Birds both large and small were gone by 1986, when FCG's sponsorship expired.

Anyone know of a site/link for all the characters (easy and hard to find) and their typical or historical places to see them?
Well, since you asked, the link in our signature we got I think 148 characters listed, and places we seen them over the last three years! :) We try to mention if they are common or rare (though that can be a matter of opinion!) and good places to look (though locations rotate and change often for some characters!). We are missing a few extremely rare characters here and there, but we got most of the good ones!! :) :)

I want to meet that Orange Bird!!!!!!!! :teeth:

For the person who wanted to see Figment, we saw him just outside of the ride :)

My DH would love to meet him. A childhood fave for him. Personally I would like to run into all the seven dwarfs at one spot and have my pic with them altogether. That would be great!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

Try across from POC. :flower: The Times Guide should list when they'll be out.

I saw Keni in Canada at Epcot. we had just come out from christmas lunch at le celiur(sp) and thier he was it was totally cool i would love to see Tink. I would also love to see Nani from Lilo and stich. I asked Lilo and her helper told me she had to work

the pic with the orangebird is Neat I didnt know he was real my grandma had a birdie bank of him I loved it I tried to take it with me when I moved out that didnt work any one seen any merchandise of him lately.

and i also saw above that I agree with the babysitter from Incredibles I loved the little short after the Incredibles movie.

We just can't seem to find Peter Pan! Went to POC in December 2004 and only Mr Smee and Capt. Hook were out that day.

I have a photo of Roger Rabbit and myself from back in 1991 - I would love to see him out again and of course, hise wife - Jessica. I think DH would like to meet her! :teeth:

Thumper, Flower and Bambi (if it was possible) would be great, too.

We did see Daisy at MGM on our last trip - it took us almost three weeks to find her, though! :goodvibes DD desperately wanted to meet Bullseye from Toy Story but had to make do with Buzz, Woody and Jessie - that made for a really cute photo with them all together!

I would like my photo with Mike, Sully and Boo from Monsters Inc. :earsgirl:

That was the one we missed while we were there. we got there about 25 min. after they opened and they had jsut closed the door (DS cried and  cried) After reading the other thread about the costumes, I now know why they go in after 20 min. I just wish I ahd known then that 20 min. was all they were staying. Would have LOVED that pic :sad1:

As my sister put it....Tarzan Rocks!...I wouldn't mind a meet and greet with Tarzan. I'd even pay good money for a character meal.... ::yes::

http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/fur.htm has some info....

but I know I've some across a better listing than this, I just can't recall where, since it wasn't of particular interest to me at the time.

Boy, does this bring back some memories! I thought I was the only one on the planet who had a picture with the Orange Bird & cared enough to keep it)...my first and only character pic as a child! But I can't place where the Sunshine Tree Terrace is - probably walked right by it not knowing it was still there...anybody know?

Lumiere would be awesome to see! And someone else mentioned Bert, it would be cool if he was the chimney sweep Bert and actually did chalk drawings...

It's in Adventureland, near the Magic Carpets of Aladdin ride (coming from Frontierland it would be on your left). They have an ice cream treat called a "Citrus Swirl" which has orange juice, but I haven't tried it yet. I love the pineapple Dole Whip ice cream from "Aloha Isle" a bit further down.

I'd like to see quite a few that have already been mentioned ::yes:: (most exist, but only rarely make appearances) like Dumbo, the Aristocats and Thomas O'Malley (notice my name?) and Uncle Scrooge. My DD would FLIP if she could meet the Little Einsteins. Also Tink, of course!

Some that have not yet been mentioned:
I'd love to be able to meet "Maurice" (Belle's father) from Beauty and the Beast. Also, the Stepmother and two stepsisters (Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drucilla) from Cinderella. DD thinks one should pick up/hold out and carry the front of "fancy" dresses, just like the stepsisters! And maybe some of the "Lost Boys," too, especially if they could appear with Peter Pan and Wendy as a group.
