I'm hoping some of you experienced DISers can help me. We're on ddp for 7 nights but have 2 meals booked that will use 2 credits so I'll be paying for 3 meals. Our lineup for 5 disney adults and 1 Disney child are....

Yachtsman
50s prime time
Raglan road
Via Napoli
CRT breakfast
Les chefs de France
Chef mickeys dinner
Captains grille or Espn....still debating

Can anyone recommend which to pay for oop?

Thanks vry much!!

I would definitely pay oop for CRT at breakfast. A good rule of thumb is if you don't think the cost pp paid by the dining plan will be $72 or more, it isn't worth two dining credits.

Thanks for the advice!

I would pay OOP for any breakfasts since they are the cheapest, and also maybe Via Napoli depending on what you will order. Via Napoli restricts the menu when you are paying on DDP. For instance, you can't order a large pizza and split it. If everyone wants pizza and you are on DDP, then each person would have to get an individual. I would pay OOP so you can do it how you want.

It's early and I haven't done the math but with paying out of pocket for 3 have you thought about uPgrading to deluxe dining?

I think the portions at 50's PTC are big, so with five adults, you might want to share a few different meals so everyone can try everything. Paying OOP here would also be good since IMHO the prices aren't too bad.

breakfasts are the worst use of the DP we thought, also a little tip is go get a baked potato in Liberty Square they only count as a snack credit but are a big enough portion for lunch :)

Via Napoli - OOP here, you could maybe order a large pizza, and salad and have enough for everyone, head over to allears, for menu selcetion and price
CRT breakfast - I would pay oop here - the bounty breakfast is quite large, might be able to share
Les chefs de France
Chef mickeys dinner
Captains grille or Espn....still debating - If you go ESPN - you could order a bunch of appetizer's and share, if I remember right they give bigger portions.
