Which meal would you cancel to replace with CP?

I think my family would love the Crystal Palace (boys 9 and 11). The Problem is I need to cancel another reservation to make this one or just agree to pay one out of pocket. So....if you had to, which one would you cancel and replace with Crystal Palace. We currently have reservations for:

Hollywood and Vine for Fantasmic Package
Boma Dinner Buffet
Boma Breakfast Buffet (we are staying at AKL)
Teppan Edo
Spirit of Aloha
Donald's character breakfast at Tusker House

Thanks for the input!

I'd cancel Spirit of Aloha. But since that's 2 credits, you'll get an extra TS credit.

Don't miss the Boma breakfast. Everything else aside, that's actually my favorite choice on your list.

I'd remove the Hollywood and Vine with Fantasmic package as the viewing area you are seated in is to the far right as you walk into the theatre  . I think you could have a meal elsewhere and then get better seats if you get there early enough.
If the time you are going is very busy though maybe you want to make sure you get to see Fantasmic :wizard: .

I would skip the fantasmic package. We found it to be not worth it at all.
Eat where ever you want that day and then head over to fantasmic early for a great seat.

I agree with the H&V suggestion. We do not care for the food. BUT that is our opinion. You may like it. Be early for Fantasmic to get a decent seat.

You will enjoy CP.

I would also cancel H&V. The seats for the package are terrible, and the food was OK, but not great.

If you haven't seen it before, I would seriously think about canceling Spirit of Aloha and going to see Hoop Dee Doo instead. Much more interesting for kids the age of yours. Also inside, so you don't have to worry about weather issues.

I am so worried about cancelling the package and taking a chance of missing Fantasmic since it is over the MLK holiday weekend. I don't know if that THursday will be busy or not. We could also try to go on MLK day.

Did you check to see if 2 shows are offered that day? We like to do the 2nd show when we can, as it is less crowded.

No I would not cancel the Fantasmic Package if you will be there over a holiday weekend. I would cancel one of the breakfast buffets and do CP for Breakfast not lunch or dinner also. We ate dinner at CP once and it is the only restaurant on property we have never been back to, and generally we give everywhere a second chance. I do hear the breakfast there is wonderful though. Although Boma is wonderful, if you are doing meals mainly for the kids then I would replace that one, if not then I would cancel Animal Kingdom Tusker House Breakfast, plus you are also scheduled to eat dinner at Boma.

I also heard Spirit of Aloha was really disappointing recently on one of the dining plan review posts. Like another poster said, it is 2TS credits so you could even add another meal in addition to CP if you will be on the DDP.

I'd cancel Spirit of Aloha...CP is SOOOO MUCH BETTER! But do breakfast there...it is so awesome!! I LOVE Pooh and can't wait to have breakfast with him in 16 days!!

Go to CP with the boys...they'll enjoy it much more than Spirit of Aloha.

Have a great trip!!

what are your travel dates? is it a super busy time? we like to sit way in the back for fantasmic (quick exit) and we have never had a problem getting in to the show.

I'd cancel the Boma dinner since you have an ADR there for breakfast and your boys might not be as impressed with the Boma dinner as you and your hubby would be.

What meal(s) do you have planned for your Magic Kingdom day(s)? That's what I would look at canceling first.

I would cancel Boma dinner. We ate there on our last trip and didn't care for it at all. It was suprising that DH didn't like it cause he eats anything! Everything seemed to either be too sweet or too spicy nothing in the middle.

I would still cancel H&V if it were me, and go to the show a little earlier. When we did the package, we learned that they oversell the package, and we didn't get seats even though we arrived 30 min before the show. We ended up in the standing section at the back, holding the kids on our shoulders for the entire show. We could see nothing but the back of peoples heads.

Are you doing hoppers? If so, you can always go back another evening if you miss the show for some reason.

As for Spirit of Aloha... the food there is incredible. My reason for suggesting the other show was strictly the entertainment. My kids got bored with Aloha quicker, but the fire twirler at the end was really good. Hoop Dee Doo was very rambunctious with a mixture of dry wit and slapstick comedy. DD3 liked the music and slapstick, and DS7 was rolling at the corny jokes. Didn't want you to think that Spirit was awful or anything... we enjoyed it, but will probably not do it again.

I think we will cancel the Boma supper as I read my husband the menu and he wasn't all that thrilled. The menu at Crystal Palace appealed to him much more. So for now I will cancel that and try the CP. I am still debating the FAntasmic package. My husband thinks we should cancel that and just take our chances on getting seats. So that is where we are at right now.

PLEASE take touring into consideration before canceling anything! One thing you want to be careful of is criscrossing Disney to tour and get to restaurants.

I can tell from the number of Crystal Palace threads you have this is a huge deal to you and I'd hate for you to end up regretting a decision due to travel time. It takes about an hour to hour and a half to cross property with the bus system. Sometimes you get lucky, but count on the longest possible time (so you can have a happy surprise when transport moves quickly)

I would cancel H&V. It gets the worst reviews here. If you get to Fantasmic early enough, you'll have seats. Honestly, there's not a bad seat in the house. I don't know how bad the standing room only area is but I know it would be bad having to stand with my kids. I'm sure DH would be able to find something he'll like at Boma even with the menu not sounding appetizing. I didn't think the breakfast at Boma sounded all that great but I really enjoyed it.
