I am sure this has been asked a thousand times but which markers are the most fade resistant on pillowcases? I have found Tulip, Sharpie brush tip, etc and reviews on the selling site are running neck and neck.

TIA

We're still using a set of Marvy Uchida fabric markers. They have been great.

I am thinking about bring a couple of pillowcases to have signed for my grandson. Will we get the markers back? I read a couple of reviews that you don't get the markers back, thats okay with me, I just want to know ahead of time.

So far we've always gotten the markers back. We put the pillowcases, markers, and treats into a Ziploc bag. (The treats never come back. :goodvibes)

Thanks so much! Ordered the Marvy Uchidas in both primary for my DGS and pastels for my DGD!

I appreciate all the input! "Hoppy Easter!"

Same here - the markers have come back both times we've done it. Was shopping for Sharpies earlier this week (for cruise next week) and saw the Sharpie fabric markers. We've used just regular Sharpies in the past for pillowcases (with pretty good results), but trying this new option this time.

Fabric markers are supposed to "bleed" less than regular Sharpies when the pillow cases are washed.

It's also a good idea to pre-wash new pillow cases to get the starch/sizing out of them before collecting the autographs, so the ink can adhere to the fabric better.

Put your cabin number and name on the zip lock bag, then you are more likely to get them back.

when you get back from the cruise, put the case in your dryer on the highest heat setting for about 30 minutes. just to be on the safe side, we also ironed the cases on highest heat, no stream before washing. so far, so good! Have an amazing cruise!

Thanks everyone. This will make a great souvenir for the grandkids.

I'm going to Hobby Lobby this weekend to pick up the markers for my kids. Thanks for the suggestions!

I was thinking of having small, white, canvas tote bags signed for my kiddos. Has anyone else tried this? I'm thinking fabric markers would be best, but interested if someone has tried this before. We're going to the MNSSHP after our cruise and thought they would make fun treat bags.

FYI...this is an OLD thread. DCL no longer allows dropping off items for autographs. You are welcome to bring pillow cases, etc. to meet & greets for signing.
