I have 3 young boys and if things go the way we've planned we will be camping at FW Jan. 2-9. I'm just tent camping and don't want to pay for premium sites. I'm on a tight budget :) I was wondering if any of you know of a loop /site that would be better for us? I don't want to be near the water because my 4yr. old has no fear of water and he would try to get in. I wouldn't mind being near the playground or near the bus stop, if that's possible. Oh and I don't want to walk a mile every time one of my boys has to go to the bathroom. Any suggestions on a loop? Oh and are the bath houses clean? We go camping alot but we've never camped at FW. Does everyone use flip flops in the showers? Anything I need to bring for the boys since they will be taking showers there?

The loops with the partial hookups are the 1500 & 2000. The 1500 is smaller and is easy walking distance to the pool & the nightly campfire program. There is a canal that runs along the backside of the 1500 that has water in it, but there are ponds and drainage ditches throughout the Fort. The 2000 is a larger loop and further away from everything, but probably more quiet.

The bathrooms are usually very clean and basically the best of any campgrounds. They are cleaned daily, more if there is a problem reported. Flip flops are a good idea for any bath house. They will need their own soap, shampoo, towel, & washcloth.
