Looking for suggestions on a loop for Oct 19 - 25 I thought for sure I was going to request 1400, but now I am not so sure. Here are the facts

Party: Me, DH, DD7 and DS5
Have reserved a preferred site
No golf cart, but will have bikes
Pop up camper with 1 slide out
Want to be near a comfort station
No pets
Will likely be spending more time at parks than fort, but definately
will be doing pool and campfire at least once.

Please give me your thoughts. I am anxious to fax in my site request.

Thanks

i am going to suggest the 100 or 200 loop they are pref loops cloce to trails end the boat dock and settel bus stop, also if you request a site at the beginning or end of either of these loops you will have a better chance being near the bath house that is at the beginning andbetween both loops

1400 loop may be a good choice. It is very close to the Campfire, and pool/Meadows area. You don't have to cross any roads to get there either, which may be nice with the kids.

I have a popup with one slide too so I thought I'd chime in....

Never stayed in the 1400 loop but have biked through it. It's one of the closest to the campfire/singalong but the sites are REAL close together and I have never thought it was a good loop for popups with thin walls.

I think any of the loops between Pioneer Hall and the Meadows Trading Post will suit your needs (1400 included). Since you will be going to the parks most days and therefore need to be close to the transportation points, I think the 100-400 loops or the 700 loop would be best (although 100-300 sites are close together IMO). Also we drive to all the parks (free with your FW pass) except for the MK because the bus system takes so long comparatively.

Regardless of the loop you request you can ask to be near the comfort station but there is no guarentee. Since you and the kids will have bikes anywhere is fine. We usually ask for the 900 loop near the Meadow TP but got a site one time up near the TP and main road and heard the trash truck come every morning at 5 a.m. and drop the dumpsters at the TP on the ground LOUDLY.

You can fax or call and add your loop request anytime but it only matters about a week before you arrive when the system dumps requests to FW and they try to assign sites based on ressies. So no rush you have plenty of time for an October arrival. The weather is great then and if they do the haunted hayride each night at Pioneer Hall (only a couple bucks per person) I would recommend it. When we went in October years ago it was pretty good. Your kids are the right age for it (but don't give them too much info about it).

Bama ED:rolleyes1
