We are considering putting our 2 sons (age 6 and 3) in one of the kids clubs for a few hours so we can go to dinner. They all look great so we don't know which to choose. I see they all have different themes but pretty much the same activities. Has anyone had great or not so great experiences at any of them? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I was looking for the same kind of feedback several months ago, and pretty much everybody had positive things to say about all of them. I'd say take the kids to wherever is nearby where you're planning on having dinner.

We took our kids to the SandCastle Club at the Beach Club since we were planning on doing an IllumiNations cruise, and had a nice evening on the Boardwalk sans-children and the kids didn't want to leave. :thumbsup2

Love simbas clubhouse at akl. My kids have been there several times and have a blast. It is fun for them to look out the windows and see the animals.

My boys enjoyed the Bear Den (can't remember the official name) at Wilderness. We wanted kids close to where we were, as we ate at Artist Point and CA Grill. My younger son loved it so much that he wanted to go every night!

My dd7 likes the polynesian the best. She also likes simbas at akl but not as much.

I'll second that one. Our DD7 LOVES Simba's Playhouse and WANTS to go at least once every time we stay at AK.

Thanks everyone!! I think we're going to try Simba's since we're starting off at AKV. If they like it, we'll try a different one later in the trip when we switch hotels :)

We used the Sandcastle Club last trip and my boys loved it. We will definitely let them do a Kids Club again next time. Just FYI too, if you choose to dine at one of the restaurants in the Swan or the Dolphin (Shula's, BlueZoo, Il Mulina, etc) you can get two hours free kid sitting at Camp Dolphin. We are also considering doing this next trip too. :)

We have used Sandcastle Club twice and Poly kids club once. Our dd's prefer Poly because of Peter Pan theme but we were told last June that they were going to redo it with LILO and Stitch theme. I can't imagine any of them are bad but we tend to pick the one closest to where we are going on date night.

My DD has stayed at the Sandcastle club and Simba's. They are 99.9999% the same. The lay out of the rooms, are slightly diff, but the idea/activities/toys/arts ect are the same. I would say 100% go with the closest/most conv 1.

my DD8 has been going for years, and BEGGGGS to go again and again when we are on vk. .. DH and I have a # of times, gone to a park alone cause she would rather dress up as silvermist, and do art that go to HS for fantastia or something.. we never mind at all..

(This yr we have a new DD who will be to young, DD8 will still want to go 1 night.. :scratchin might end up 1 night with just us and the baby... but we won't mind that either.)

I don't mean to hijack your thread but does anyone know if the Grand Floridian kids club (Mousketeer Club) is still there? It was just a month or so ago when I was making dinner reservations but now I don't see it listed. Thanks

We have only tried Simba's Cubhouse for our DDs 4 and 7. When we picked them up we literally had to pry them away from the activities - they didn't want to leave! I would definitely do it again.
