I've never stayed at CBR, but am considering it for a short birthday weekend trip. Only my husband and I will be going, so we'd like a little seclusion, although I'd like to be able to walk comfortably to the food court. We'll have our own car. I was thinking the Aruba or Jamaica islands looked perfect. Are all the rooms decorated with the same colors/theming?

The interiors are all the same. The exteriors are painted diff. colors and have diff. colored roof. You can' go wrong with any of the villages at CBR. Trinidad South is the longest walk but if you really want seclusion that would be the place to stay. Be sure to watch the Illuminations fireworks at 9 PM from a hammock on the beach. You can see them quite well from the Martinique beach.

I have pictures of CBR up on my web site. Enjoy your trip.

We haven't stayed at CBR for quite a while, but did stay there when it first opened and only two "islands" were open. We were in Trinidad and enjoyed it. Then we stayed in Aruba a few years later and enjoyed it even more. I don't believe you can go wrong in any of the choices.

We prefer Jamaica, building 45. Jamaica is very quiet and all we have to do to get to OPR is walk across the foot bridge, which is a beautiful, tropical, romantic walk and only takes about 3 minutes. I also have some pictures posted from last summer, just follow the link below.

We (DH & I) have stayed in Jamaica twice and Aruba once. We requested one of the buildings near the bridge. This was very nice on all visits. It is convenient to pick up coffee in the am, and we really enjoyed the walk over the island every day.

Also, most of the time Jamaica is the first bus stop, then it stops at Aruba, so first on first off. The building we stayed at in Aruba, the bus stop in Jamaica was closest.

Jamaica has yellow buildings, Aruba pink.

For a shorter walk to the food area, choose Martinique.

Enjoy.

We stayed in and really enjoyed Martinique. It was close to everything but still pretty private. We had a great time at CBR ! Hi chip126 !!! :)

Just an FYI- if anyone is planning a trip to CBR in 2004 Martinique and Trinidad North will be preferred locations. It will cost $15 nightly additional for these locations.

I've stayed at CBR five times & have only stayed in Jamaica or Aruba.

My favorite is actually Jamaica because of the bright yellow & blue exteriors. I love the white sand beach, hammocks, and the quick walk over the bridge to OPR.

You're going to LOVE Caribbean Beach!

I have stayed at CBR twice in the Martinique section and have visited the resort on almost all my trips. I find the Jamaica section to be the prettiest. It even seems like a bit more expensive of a place than the other villages. There is one courtyard in the Jamaica section that is all ferns with many trees and it always seems really quiet in there.

...Island!!
(can ya tell I did NOT like my stay at CBR!!)

We stayed in Jamaica #42. Our room was close to the pool and not too far from the bridge to Port Royale.

Sounds like Jamaica would be ideal for us. Now all I have to do is keep waiting and hoping for those AP codes to come out!

Just loved Aruba when we went - but they all look lovely!

I think that the reason I don't care to go to Martinique or Trin North is that I would not have to cross the bridge to OPR and I would really miss that. (My husband thinks I am weird-lol)

:earsgirl:

I'm with hulabird, I loved crossing the island.

Both Jamica and Aruba are perfect, just depends on whether you want pink or yellow!!! (We were there in May, and I thought Aruba's pink felt "cooler" than Jamaica's yellow, but it was quite a heat wave!
