I hope to book 11 months on advance, so I should think I will have my choice of location. What do you recommend I choose??

I would love to get a 2 bedroom unit near a pool, or within walking distance of the Hospitality and Recreation areas...

I saw some units in buildings 19 and 20 overllooking the pool which looked awesome, but I would also love to be able to walk to Olivia's and the boat dock....

Any replies would be greatly appreciated!!

P.S. should I consider a Grand Villa, instead of a 2 bedroom?? Is it worth the additional cost?????

We've stayed 3 times at OKW since 2/2001 and have enjoyed staying near the HH & Olivia's. The kids like to walk to the Game room and do a little shopping...but from what I've read anywhere in OKW is good just don't get too specific on location, just ask for view and floor.

Good luck and enjoy. I've never stayed in a GV but am trying for 2/2004 (if family can commit). Doing a 2Br in 2/2003.

With the new check in method I don't beleive they are taking requests for location too seriously anymore. It is first come first serve now for location. Then again the demand may be down when you go and you could get a certain location, it does not hurt to ask. If you are close to one of the small pools you will have to walk aways to the HH, etc, then again it really is not much of a walk from anywhere in OKW to the HH. The grand villa is nice, if you have 3 couples in your group. It does use up the points however.

Isn't that awful, disneyfool? We would like to stay in a GV but only if family or friends would commit to being there. I would hate to 'waste' the points on a GV if all we really need is a 2bdr. But I can never get a committment out of my family!!!!

Figures! And don't even think about trying to plan a reuinion! There is a definate disfunction in my family.

friskykitten - What about booking your 2BR & giving your family WDW information w/ resorts & room rates & then if they are interested they can book their own accommodations. Remember to give them the mousesavers website.

We have stayed in none different Grand Villas, in nine different locations. I would stay in any one of them again. I think the GVs are purposely put in only optimum locations. I have had two minor complaints over the years. BLDG 15 was a bit close to the road and when on the balcony, there was some noise....then BLDG 52? I believe it was 52, had less parking than it should have, no big deal, but sometimes you had to park across the parking lot and walk the extra ten feet across the lot.
