which is the best site for rental cars?

I want to start checking out rental cars. We are not going until aug 2002. How far out do these companys book? I would prefer to rent a car from either national or avis(since they are both at the terminal, We do not want to have to go on a bus).
I am thinking of purchasing the entertainment book in addition to the disney club(I am waiting until we get a little closer to the trip)for a discount on rental cars.
Which offer a greater discount?
Which site should I go to? Or should I go directly to avis and national?
Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

These companies book about 365 days in advance.
I find the best discount has been DC. Entertainment last year. The discounts vary, trust me, the closer your trip comes, there will be many ways to save money posted here.
I can tell you that if you go to www.capitalone.com you can join National's Emerald Club for no fee. (not sure if you are already a member). You can join Dollar's "fast lane" program via their web site, not sure if there is a charge at this time.
In addition to Avis and National, there is Budget, Dollar and L&M onsite.
I go directly to the web sites. Hopefully, this helps.
