Which is the best nearby beach?

When we drive back home, we thought about spending a day (and night) at a beach either near Disney World or just somewhere before we got out of Florida. We live in central TN if that matters. Whenever we used to go to the beach, it was because we were already cruising out of somewhere like Miami/Ft Lauderdale, but obviously we want it to be at least somewhat on the way home.

We really like New Smyrna Beach, it's about an hour out. Quiet, big beach. We are planning on going there and then Disney for two days. You can even drive on the beach there. Not sure where it is on your drive though...

Actually I remember seeing that on the map and wondering if it was a decent beach b/c it's not far away from her route. Thanks!
