Which is busier: weekends or weekdays that APs aren't blocked?

Will be at DLR next week (June 12-20) and trying to decide which days will be busier--I'm assuming the 2 new rides are probably bringing in more crowds. I've read to avoid weekends if possible, but do you think weekends are busier than a Monday or Tuesday next week when the AP's aren't blocked, especially now with Star Tours and LM being so popular?

Trying to decide when to do our non-disney days at the SD Zoo and SC Waterpark!

It is a bit a of a catch 22. The Zoo and Soak City will be busier on the weekend. I would go on the 12 and 13th enjoy short lines outside DL. On the 14th most APs get blocked, on the 15th the second largest group of APs get blocked. You will still get quieter weekdays in.

Looking at the DL calendar, the SoCal Select is not blocked on Mon or Tuesday, June 13 and 14. If you have a choice, I would avoid those days. A couple of years ago we had neighbors who went then and were totally caught off-guard by the massive crowds, including park closures and added 3rd showing of Fantasmic.

Saturday may also be better than either a Friday night or a Sunday afternoon. Deluxe APs are blocked on Saturdays.

Wednesday and Thursday next week should be fine (although there may still be some school groups). I also think there is a Grad Night on Thursday 6/16). Best of luck to the OP -- Suzanne

Ill be there next week from the 13 to 18th. I would prefer to go the 15, 16th and 17th since those are the AP blackout days, but the wife wants to go the 14, 15th and 17th, and use the 16th to go to Legoland.

Im sure the 14th will be madness with the new rides....

Thanksgiving weekend the past 2 years *I can vouch for 2010* has gone like this.

Sun-Wed *no AP blocks* super busy - Thursday-Sat fantastic. Our days last year were Turkey day, Fri & Sat *hoping for a return this year* I spoke with a CM that Thurs. afternoon - he said "Today's been the quietest day this week, so far." We also visited over the 4th of July weekend last year *all block able APs blocked* we had a great time and I'd retune again no problem *can't this year due to finances - gotta update my ticker....

I was at the DLR over Memorial Day weekend. The days when APs were blocked were busy, but manageable. When APs were unblocked on Tuesday, it became VERY crowded. The demand for ST and LM is quite high and I would expect that any unblocked days will be quite busy. I would rather visit during blocked days.
