I have a 1 bdr BWV for our July vacation and traveling with my DH DS and his girlfriend this year. We have always stayed in a normal resort room but thought the privacy would be better this year. I would like a 2 bdr but there are none available. I like the idea of having one room for us all to be in versus having two separate resort rooms but currently the price is cheaper for the 1bdr. However, from my understanding, AP rates don't apply to the villas (if and when they come out) but can decrease the cost of resorts rooms to make them cheaper than the 1 bdr rate. What would be better, AP discounts for 2 separate rooms or 1 bdr at a villa (or even a 2 bdr)? Is the villa worth the price?

It may decrease the cost of the 1bdrm villa you have booked already. As for is it worth it -- if you want everyone to stay in one room instead of getting 2 regular rooms and asking to have them adjoining or connecting then probably if you can get a decent rate. With a 1bdrm villa you can also save on a few meals if you want to by using the full kitchen -- even if only for a few breakfasts here and there it will save you a little. You'll also have the in room w/d so that's nice. But it all depends on how much you are spending per night as to whether you feel it's worth it -- without a discount if paying cash 2rooms and have them adjoined can be much less expensive and you'd also get a 2nd bathroom that way.
