Which is Better

Pop or one of the other All Star Resorts.

We have our flights booked for Nov 10-15th. It will just be 2 adults.

We are not really fussy about rooms. It will be a place to sleep but we want a nice pool and east access to the buses. (Plus good service on the buses)

Any suggestions?

POP is larger than the AS resorts but it does have one advantage: it doesn't share buses with other resorts!

Another advantage to POP is you can walk over to AoA to just check out the resort or to eat at the food court there.

For two adults, definitely POP. I would request staying in the section of the decade I grew up in.

Good food court; no sharing of buses, nice pools, nice views, and nice access to AoA for their food court as well.

I would chose POP. No bus sharing, good food court. I like the theming.

Girlfriend did the college program, so I stayed at each of the All-Stars and Pop in a matter of four months. Pop is easily the best of the group. It's bigger, the food court is more open, and the rooms seem newer compared to the All-Star Rooms (even the renovated rooms).

We used to love staying at All Star.....we are sports people so we enjoy the sports area alot

It depends on what you are wanting. If you are wanting a large resort with everyone waiting in line for the bus, then stay at POP. If you are wanting a smaller resort with the chance (slight chance I might add... as in almost never!) of sharing a bus, then stay at an AS resort. I've stayed at POP and the buses were so packed that people were still in line waiting on another one to come. I've been in that line knowing not all of us would fit on that bus and watched it pull away. I've stayed at an AS resort for a week and shared a bus once and the buses never packed, even when they did share.

The food options are a slight bit different, but only if you are interested in tye dyed cheesecake and such. They all have Mickey waffles (and that's what is most important, ).

The rooms are a similar size with similar decor, depending on the building you are in. They all have refigerators now. They all have a main theme pool and other pools available.

No matter where you stay, it will be a blast! Have fun on your trip!

Decisions...Decisions...

I guess I will show my husband the pics of the POP and Movies and see which theme he likes better.

There is a 50% chance that your bus service is going to suck no matter where you stay Value to Deluxe. It's the nature of bus service.

I personally don't like the décor of POP or AoA (stayed at AoA but not POP). So I'm already predisposed to have them last on my Value list.

But here's the thing. Everyone will tell you that POP has it's own bus and doesn't share (well there has been at least one trip report where AoA and POP did share a few times over their week stay, but right now that seems to be rare) and that makes them better.

But,

POP is huge with more rooms and more guests and only the ONE bus stop. All stars are smaller and only share maybe 2 or 3 rides out of 10. I've only shared buses at ASMu twice in two trips. Statistically the AllStars will have less people on their buses so less crowded and therefore better chance of better bus service.

The only other advantage is that the Allstars are sisters and close together. 3 food courts 6 pools and three activity schedules all within a 10 minute walk. POP and AoA are not sisters so your chances of using the better AoA pool is iffy since they do at times lock the gates to the feature pool and let only AoA quests into the pool to swim and do activities.


All things being equal, I'd just find the best price and the décor you like the best and go. For me that has been ASmu. Less in your face giant icons, not as kid popular so there seems to be more adults, and you're right in the middle so easy to walk either way to the other resorts.
