Which is better?

There used to be a comparison on www.cypresspointe.net I like the surround sound in the Phase I, Phase II (Grand Villas) has elevators. Grandvillas also have a bit more room in the second bedroom. We really like booking Cypress Pointe thru hotelkingdom.com and now understand alpharooms.com is sometimes cheaper.

Thank you for your opinion. Does anyone else have an opinion. Grand Villas is more expensive. I have never stayed at either and I am scared to stay somewhere I have never stayed at before. It will only be DH and myself so 2 bedrooms is not necessary so the size of the 2nd bedroom is not that big of a deal.

the CP side has the better pool. the GV side has elevators.

the CP side has been doing a recent rehab (last year and the year before) - so they are pretty wonderful shape.

the roofs at CP are currently being replaced. but they will not put you in a building that they are currently working on - at least not the top floor.

Sounds good to me. I think we will probably stay the CP side in a 2 bedroom so we get the full kitchen. Is this a good choice? Will have to commit to a timeshare presentation if I book through hotelkingdom? Will there be any hidden catches or gotcha's when we get there? The only places I stayed at were days inn and windsor hills so this is new to me.

no sales pitch is necessary.

if asked (and you might be) just say you are not interested.

no hidden anything using hotelkingdom and CP.

both have an excellent record with other Disers. there was one complaint against CP and that was more with the location of the villa. If I remember correctly. hopefully someone will give you more details about the complaint.

Another question. I don't think i will be able to book until I get my taxes in february. Do you think there will still be availability then with it being close to a month before we get there?

We booked thru Hotel Kingdom and nothing was said about a timeshare presentation. We are booked for arrival Feb 17th. When I punch in my dates now, it shows no availabilty for the 2 bedrooms.
