Which is better - MCO - Ft. Lauderdale?

Me & DS are going to Disney for a couple of days but we are also going to Ft. Lauderdale for 2 days to visit family.

Would it be better to fly into Orlando do Disney first, rent a car and drive to Ft. Lauderdale and then fly home from Ft. Lauderdale? Or the other way around.

I don't know what is the best. My dates are May 17 - 25 and the airfare is about the same for the airports.

I'm not sure that it makes a difference. I'd maybe look at rental cars from each location and see if there's a big difference in price... that could help the decision.

Of course if you're staying onsite at Disney, you could fly to Orlando and use Magical Express to get you from MCO to your resort. Then rent a car at the end of your Disney stay from the car care center and return it at Fort Lauderdale.
