Hi all

I have two kiddos-- DD who will be nearly 5 and DS who will be 2 1/2. I'm thinking of trying out DVC if I could possibly rent points. If I did this I might be able to stay at a 1 bedroom villa at WL. Other options would be a standard room at Poly or CR. I want the resort to be stimulating and fun for DH and I as well as the kids. I'd like us to have some room to spread out (and if dh and I could have privacy that would be a +), but my final concern is MINIMAL transport time. My did Pop on a recent trip (our first family trip). it was great and I can't say enough about the resort, but a round trip waiting for the bus and then the drive itself was a minimum of 1 hr. We absolutely need a mid-day break, so I'd like to be able to get out, rest and get right back to having fun!

Any thoughts would be appreciated from you disney pros!!!!

Definietely CR. This has been my children's favorite non-DVC resort since they were born. It truly houses all the real Disney magic, great dining and you cannot beat watching the water parade, fireworks or monorail right from you room!

We've done Poly and WL. Our kids are currently 3,2, & 6 months. Our next trip will be the first time DS#2 (6months) will be there! Anyway- With the 2 kids we liked both resorts. The WL is gorgeous and it is nice to have a kiddie pool. We also liked the lobby and the grounds. The Poly is amazing as well and we love it just the same. Here are the Pros of each resort-

WL
Boat transportation is a breeze, hardly any wait and the kids enjoyed it.
The grounds are very kid friendly and adult friendly as well.
The restaraunt (the loud one) is alot of fun for the kids and the food is good too.
If you get a woodsview room overlooking the otter pond you can watch Wishes from your room (great for when the kids have had enough of the park!)
The lobby is nice to hang out in (if the weather is yucky etc.)
We just love it there!

Poly
Nothing like the monorail. Just as quick (okay- maybe a little quicker!) as the WL boat but air conditioned! Also- I tend to get nervous on boats but that is my own craziness!
Love that zero entry pool. You can lay in the water! The kids also love it.
The rooms are HUGE!!! Nothing better then letting the kids run a bit inside when they have had enough of the heat.
Room Service! Order it and let the kids eat while watching tv while you and DH sit and relax (no trying to corral the little one in the high chair!)
You can watch the fireworks from the beach.
O'Hana's- character breakfast and general good food!
Kona Cafe- delicious! You can order and even take it back to your room!
There is more variety to the food.

The cons

WL
The rooms are kind of small.
The food is pretty much the same. (BBQ)

Poly
The lobby can be a bit of a walk away

We love both places and have two trips planned- one at each resort! Both are great IMHO!
