we are getting married at wdw next march and will be there for 13 days at the yc & akl. we will also be vacationing this november for fun & our final planning session at pofq. before i book our rooms, etc which is a better deal for our situation, annual pass with dde or myw tickets with dining package? any advise/experience with long & multiple trips best ticket, food & cost options?

thanks dis!

Don't forget that with the AP you might get an AP room rate. Pofq could be $109 a night plus tax instead of $149 rack rate.

10 day MYW with park hopper is 232.00 but again its only for 10 days and you said you would be there 13. The AP is $395 and thats good for 365 days.

With room discount if they are available. Watch for those codes!!!
AKL will be $90 a night cheaper as an AP holder
YC will be $133 a night cheaper
POFQ will be $40 a night cheaper
The savings above is based on historical savings.

The savings with the room codes will pay for your APs.

Plus the DDE card includes the 20% off cocktails. Sorry got Margaritas on the brain.
Since you are making 2 trips I think APs are the way to go

I agree with DisneyWisher. The only other thing to consider that I can think of is whether you will want to go to PI and/or BB and TL. Even if you do you might want to consider buying the AP in Nov. and then upgrading it to the PAP for your honeymoon so you aren't paying full price on the PAP for something you won't really be able to take advantage of until March.

With the DDE you get 50% off admission to PI clubs. So if you only go once or twice that may be cheaper.

You can also get an extra vacation out of an AP near the last few weeks of its validity. Think of the DDE 20% off as every fifth meal free--I like it better than the MYW dining because it is "what you want, where and when you want it" rather than restrictions on two for one meal, no alcohol or specialty drinks, etc. and too much food I might not want(all those appetizers, entrees and desserts really do become a quest to finish and get your monies worth).

Another point, free parking if you decide to stay offsite. At $8 a pop, it adds up. Sounds like you will stay onsite, though, and the discount on rooms will be a big plus for pass.

Take a look at http://www.magicalmemoriestravel.com/DiningComparison.html

Our agency has been trying to track and compare the savings with DDE and the MYW dining plan. It's been pretty close but most of the time with 2 adults, we are seeing the DDE work better for the way most couples seem to want to eat. A lot of couples want one or more signature dining locations. When you start doing that the DDE works better for you b/c using 2 of your sit down options in one meal just means you have to pay for another (at full price) or have a day (or two) where you eat all counter service; something many couples don't want to do.

When you factor in that you will be taking 2 trips, the DDE savings and the possibility of room discounts, I'd say the APs will probably be your best bet. :)

Another vote for AP with DDE, especially if you have two trips planned in one year. On a couple of days of our recent trip, I tracked how much I spent on food with my DDE and it was much less than it would have been with the MYW dining. The DDE gives you a discount on alcoholic drinks with your meals, but the dining plan doesn't include that. You also will save a lot of money on room ressies at deluxe resorts.

I ordered or AP's through DVC. I will be receiving a voucher for our AP's. Can I order the DDE card with the voucher?

Yes you can but be sure to ask when the DDE expires its not naturally lined up with AP you have to wait until about 2 months before you go and you may end up using an e-mail printout.
