Hi Everyone.
I have 2 rooms booked at the CSR for the last week in April. I've been doing some browsing and I found a few hotels that look real nice. Some look as nice as the CSR. We've never stayed at CSR or the others. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about any of these hotels and maybe could provide info. on them? I was thinking maybe we'll switch hotels and save some money to use at the parks. There will be 6 of us, myself, my husband, my 18 year old daughter, my niece will be 18 the day after we arrive(celebrating her birthday at Seaworld and Dine with Shamu), 17 year old son and 12 year old son. The hotels I need info. on are Sheraton Safari, Residence Inn Orlando-Seaworld Int. Drive, Hilton Grand Vacations-Seaworld. Some have 2 bedrooms and would be less than $300 per night, which is what I am paying now. Thanks. Connie :cutie:

if you are staying off-site you will need a rental car. Yes some places have shuttles - but believe me - you don't want to spend an hour getting to a park - when you can drive there in less than 15 minutes.

that say

I love HGVC!!! very lovely resort! this resort comes with a full kitchen - so if you or someone could make sandwiches to take with you - you could save big money on food.

With that group make up I would suggest you look at either suite hotels, timeshare units (2 bedroom units as minimum) like Sheraton Vistana, Wyndham Palms, Celebration World resort, Hilton vacation resort there are dozens more or a third option is to rent a vacation home. With the make up of your group (2 teen girls) and two teen(ish) boys it may be a benefit to be able to give each pair a room each. You could rent a 3 (or 4) bedroom vacation home for less than $200 a night (probably closer to $150 a night). You would need access and use of a car, but if you don't already have a car then you will be able to save more than enough in accommodation costs to rent one.

Given the age/sex and size of your particular group I think you really need a 3 bedroom unit to give the kids some privacy, there are timeshares that offer these, there are also condo/townhouse style resorts that would fill the need but for value for money and size of accommodation I think a vacation home is your best option.

Thanks everybody for responding so quickly. We always drive down from NJ, so we won't need to rent a car. We've been to Sheraton's Vistana in 2003 and loved it!! We booked it through hotelkingdom.com and got a great rate. This year unfortunately they are booked for the week of April 24 - 30. I tried renting a week from my brother(he owns 2 weeks there) but he is using both weeks. We've been to Tropical Palms 2 times 1999 and 2001, a real nice place. Last year we stayed onsite at CBR and really enjoyed it and decided to try another onsite hotel and booked CSR back in October. But now I'm starting to think about spending $300 a night for 2 rooms just to sleep, we could use the extra money on other things and yes there is still not enough room for all the kids. And of course the 2 girls want their privacy from the boys and vice versa. I can't blame them. I am going to look into some of the 3 bedroom homes with private pools, they are beautiful! I will be taking all of your advice. Thanks again! Connie :cutie:
