so which hotel have you stayed in at DP? is the DL Hotel really worth the money? I hate that our dollar isn't worth much right now over there...

Difficult one to answer. We've stayed there once - I'd always wanted to stay there and it was fantastic and to me worth every penny and I've now ticked it off my 'list'.

Have you considered the New York? Same standard but just a short walk through the Village - you're paying for location, loation, location with the DLH.

New York could be nice. It was a few hundred less as well. Village sounds nice, is that like downtown disney?

We stayed at Hotel New York this year and it's a very nice hotel.
Staff extremely helpful and pleasant, would recommend it. The lobby, reception and bar areas are especially good.

We are trying Disneyland Hotel next year as we got a discount on the price, having had a look around it's clear the biggest plus is the location, it is similar to the Grand Floridian at WDW.

The village is a shopping and dining experience close to the parks and the hotels.
It has more of a Citywalk Universal feel to it that Downtown Disney, to be honest the village is nothing like as good as either so if you have been to DTD you probably will be dissapointed in the Disney village, I know I was.

We love Sequioa. All the hotels are walking distance compared with WDW, and they have transport (buses only) as well if needed.

I'd love to do Disneyland Hotel but can't justify the price compared with the others.

I have stayed in the DLH which is very nice but would probably only stay there again if I got 50% off like the time I stayed as it makes for a very expensive holiday.

I have also stayed in the Hotel New York which I love & would choose that most times. Also the Sequoia Lodge is a nice hotel too, they are renovating it at the moment, all the lodges have been done & they are part way through the main building now.

I would say though if it is likely to be your only visit then it maybe worth splashing out on the DLH if you can afford it:thumbsup2
