well I am HOPEING for a quick visit to DLRP next month if I can get the date I want and if the price is good.

well we usually book the HNY however with us planning to go so soon it may be out of budget. So was wondering which hotel that people would choose? Also any experiences of the hotel good or bad would like to hear.
Thank you :)

Hi

We've booked the Sequoia Lodge as it was the cheapest hotel with all the facilities we wanted, eg. pool, air con. We like the sound of the gardens, the terrace by the lake and the kids' outside playground. Not actually been there yet though!

I would love to try the Disneyland Hotel sometime, if ever we could afford it!

Have fun choosing!

Michelle

Prefer the position of Sequoia Lodge, but I love the interior of the Newport Bay. So, although I think it's quite difficult to choose between them, I voted based on the decor!!!

Me and my friend stayed the Cheyenne last year and loved it! We thought the theming was superb for the amount of money we spent!

This year we have an even tighter budget so we're staying at Santa Fe and I really like the look of it from photos I have seen! Hopefully it'll be just as great as Cheyenne! :)

Had a great stay at the Holiday Inn recently. If you don't mind the 5 minute shuttle trip, then you get far more bang for your buck compared to the Disney hotels. I'd have to get a VERY good deal at one of the Disney hotels next time otherwise I'll be back at the HI in September!

I keep trying to stay onsite but it is so much cheaper to stay in the HI that I can't justify it.

The only one of these that I have been to is Explorers. While it was ok and perfectly passable, I would not go there again by choice. I chose Newport Bay, although I would also give Sequoia a go:)

we stayed in the cheyenne the kids loved the theming we hated the crowded buses, next time we think i might stay in the holiday inn as the buses running there seemed empty, no crowds etc, and it will fit me and 3 kids in, matt refuses to go back again.

If the results of this poll are going to influence your choice of hotels, the only thing I would say about the NPB is book the Admirals Floor if you can, it's an extra £10 - £15/ night, but well worth the little bit extra. :goodvibes

hi.

we I am now considering ether the Holiday Inn or the Admirals floor at Newport bay club.
The prices at the Holiday inn are very good however once we include the flights, tickets and airport transfers they is not a big difference so Its just a case of deciding if its worth the bit extra to stay on site.

There is a special offer at the moment however you have to be departing on the 8th of may and I have a presentation that day!! or I would of booked it.

Oh that's a shame! :sad2:

I don't know if this is still the case with the prices, but I'm thinking that if you pay for the Admiral's Floor at the Newport Bay, you may as well go back to the HNY instead!!!

The Holiday Inn has one double and bunks usually .
Par of the reason we dont stay onsite is because my two lovely children are not capable of sleeping in the same bed anymore and my DH needs a gym so it leaves me with no onsite possibilities in december.

We've stayed at the Sequoa twice and really liked it. We went to NPB twice too, the first time on the Admirals Floor (worth it to get breakfast delivered to the room) and once in a room near the pool, which was very shabby and disappointing.

We chose the Movenpick (haven't been there yet though) for a couple of reasons:

1) It is more European in "feel" then the Disney hotels...we are from the US, so the American themes do not appeal to us. :teeth:

2) It has bunkbeds for the kids.

Have a magical trip. :wizard: We can't wait for ours!

Voted for Hotel Cheyenne - great theming & great value. I would also like to try the Newport Bay or Sequoia Lodge, if there were good offers available.

well it looks like were are going to stay at DLH after all
