Don’t know if this topic has been covered here but as a new DVC Member we have stayed at only a few of the hotels/resorts.

Caribbean Nov 2006
Contemporary Jun 2007
All Star Movies Dec 2007
And Old Key West in May as new DVC Member 2008

We would love to know which hotel/resort pool is best and what everyone thinks about the pools at each hotel/resort. We all know the one at the Beach/Yachet Club is the best; :thumbsup2 however tell us about the others. The pool and slide at OKW is great and we have heard that the one at AKL isn’t so great also. The slide at CR is just another tube slide so we weren’t impressed. If one can impress a 4 year old girl. Tell us what you think.
If anyone has good pictures of the slides that would be a plus.

Our favorites:
  • Coronado Springs
  • Polynesian
  • Old Key West
  • Boardwalk
  • Yacht & Beach Club
Our "so-so's"
  • Port Orleans (both Riverside and French Quarter)
  • Saratoga Springs
  • Caribbean Beach (currently being refurbished)
  • Wilderness Lodge
Our "don't bothers":
  • Contemporary (we find it boring)
  • Animal Kingdom Lodge (although the new AKV pool could change that)
  • Fort Wilderness (no slides or theming)

I thought the pool at Wilderness Lodge was surprisingly small, given the size of the resort itself. Coronado Springs has a good slide, and the overall theming is cool, same with Port Orleans. I like that OKW has the main pool and the quiet pools.

Best pool on property hands down

SAB at YC/BC. Of course you can't use it unless you stay there, but....

YES this is a great link and exactly what we needed. Thank you all for the feed back but keep it coming.

Our plan is to make sure we take one day of our week long stays and spend it at the pool relaxing and letting our DD have fun with other kids in the pools.

Thanks to everyone.

Its really subjective.

SAB is a very cool pool, but I dislike it - unless your kids are so young you are on top of them anyway or so old you can say "meet me at 2:00" - its an impossible pool to watch kids in.

I like the AKL pool - its beautifully themed, has a nice slide (not too large, but not babyish) has zero entry.

My kids weren't fond of the Poly pool, they don't like the enclosed slide - they'd rather go on the Keister Coaster at BWVs.
