Best Western Pavilions, Best Western Raffles, Cortona Inn or Anaheim Plaza. We will have a rental car so location isn't a huge factor we are looking for good service and nice rooms

none-hojos or camolot inn lol or desert inn if you call early get good rates

None.... I want to stay at HOJO, but they are not offer the Entertainment rate when we are going as of yet.... :sad1: So trying to see what else is out there.

What makes those hotels your choice? If you have a car, there are some really nice hotels a bit farther down, by the Target.

Like which?? I would like to get a hotel under $625 for 7 nights. That is the ones I found that didnt look bad and the prices worked

I wish I could help with those choices, but I just know nothing about them.

You should put your dates (the ticker stuff confuses me, b/c I don't know how they are counting "2 months", LOL) so others can look out for ya, if they are on hojo's forums or something. :)

What about Anabella? We really enjoyed our stay there last December! They do charge for parking, though, with a car. But their restaurant/bar is really nice; they don't require you to go through the take-out menu to get a drink or food. You can walk in and order carryout, including an adult beverage. Helpful on one long day when I wanted a girly drink but didn't want to move, and hubby was able to go get one! :goodvibes

another vote for none. I've never stayed at any of them. We usually stay at the HoJo on the Ent Rate. Really, the best hotel at the best rate. Good luck!

well I guess I will keep holding out luck and hoping HOJO adds our dates soon.:surfweb:

Well, they have the 2nd listed right now. So things are looking up!

I don't know what the cost of the other places is, and I don't know what rack rate is at hojo after the 3rd, but remember there's a 15% Disboard discount for the non Ent Rate dates that you could take advantage of. Depending on the costs of the other places etc, one night of Ent rate and the rest at 15% off might possibly maybe be good. Maybe. :upsidedow

I have not personally stayed at any of the ones you posted. We are however staying at the Anaheim Plaza in 2 weeks. Our last 3 trips we stayed at the Desert Inn & Suites, but decided to try the Plaza this time around. It has a bigger pool and will be saving us about $200. I asked about the Plaza here a week ago or so, and did a search on it as well. Plenty of posts came up about it if you want to do your own. :)

hojos dose have a rate for the disboards its not as grate as the ent rate.

also desert inn isnt to much and there right there at the crosswalk. camolot inn i got with a package last year and loved it but dont know how much the price was a night

Out of the ones you listed, I would go with Anaheim Plaza, but only as a last resort if you can't get the HoJo ent. rate. I'd go ahead and book it so you have it to fall back on if HoJo doesn't come through for you.

The only reason I pick the Anaheim Plaza is because it is the closest for walking, and although it's nothing fancy it is generally clean.

We are contemplating the Anaheim Plaza, its within easy walking distance and I've seen its rates as low as $59. Mixed reviews but mostly good...

We're staying at Cortona in October at $62.25 a night. We got this on travelocity. Here is our hotel as billed:

We will be staying for 5 nights at Cortona Inns and Suites.
Total room cost: $622.50
Room 1
Taxes & fees: $16.80/night
Room 2
Taxes & fees: $16.80/night

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lodging total: $790.54

I have only stayed at the Anaheim Plaza but I know where each of these is and have read about them.
The Cortona is an older motel that was very extensively remodeled and so has the newest of the rooms. It is nice looking. I would stay there if it were closer.
Raffles has always looked fine enough to me but I don't know when they remodeled their rooms last and it is to far away for me.
Pavillions is the least interesting of them though it looks okay. The location is okay as well but not great.
Anaheim Plaza is the closest. The rooms have been redone since I was there but the place reminds me of an apartment complex from the 50's or 60's. Still it has nice green grounds and a huge pool and is much closer than the others (easily walkable)

Before you make a choice of a hotel that you'll have to drive to and from, please be sure to read Hydroguy's thread, "Hidden Time Losses when Using a Car at DLR." http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1381580 It makes a lot of sense. I'd far rather choose a hotel within walking distance.

HoJo has free parking and free internet access, and it's the nicest within easy walking distance, outside of the resort hotels. As PPs have said, even if you can't get the ent rate, you can still get the 15% off DIS rate. I'd make the reservation anyway, and hope the Ent rate shows up. If it doesn't you could always cancel.

We've stayed in 8 or 9 different rooms at the Anaheim Plaza and they are not all the same. I'd recommend calling and asking for a room in the 700 building. Those rooms are a little nicer (though still nothing special) and that building is slightly closer to the corner, which means it's a little closer walk to DL than some of the other buildings on the relatively large property.

We stay there because we don't plan far enough in advance to get a room in the Best Western by Dennys and given that we don't spend much time in the room we don't want to pay $130+ for a room. It's about a 8-13 minute walk from the Anaheim Plaza to the turnstiles (depending on walking speed, room location, and wait time at the crosswalk).

If you use Priceline & bid 3*, you will get a nice hotel between $50 & $60 per night. Most of these hotels also charge parking, since they are your Hiltons, Marriotts, Hyatts, etc..., but you will still be well under your budget. These hotels are also not within walking distance, but they are close to the resort by shuttle or car. You can go to the website, bidding for travel . com (no spaces) and get info about bidding & see what other people are getting & for what price.

I am staying at the Anaheim Plaza on Thursday and Friday of next week. I have $49 for one night and $69 for the second. i asked about it here and didn't get any complaints aside from parking charges ($4) and wifi charges ($10) which didn't apply to me since I don't have a computer or a car.

Of that list, Anaheim Plaza. It's walking distance
