Which hotel is best?

Hiya, me and my partner are going to Disneyland Paris for 5 days at the end of this month. Our friends are staying in the Disneyland Hotel but we cannot afford to stay there so we have decided it will either have to be the Vienna International Dream Castle Hotel (£369.23) or the Vienna Magic Circus Hotel (£330.96). I like the look of the Dream Castle but is it worth the extra money? I am also concerned that the pool here is very small, having said that our main priority is obviously the bedroom/bathroom. Are the bedrooms as good at Magic Circus?

Would be great if anyone could give me any advice.

I highly recommend this hotel it is wortht he money. It is luxury and IMO the decor ismuch much nicer in the rooms from what ive seen in the disneyland hotel photos.

The pool is smallish but its big enough, we were there last year early sept and found the pool was very quiet. Theres a slide into the pool and a jacquizi in the same room plus a few sun loungers on the sides.

I LOVED this hotel and am concerned that the hotel were staying at next wont match upto it. Well I know it wont. Its not that expensive to stay here the same as disneys budget hotels (2 stars) and this is a 4 or 5 star hotel!

It has hot breakfast too, shuttle is only 10 mins to the park. Now that EMH isnt every day and not all rides are open I dont see the benefit of stayin in a disney hotel anyway so will def be going back to dream castle next time.

Can I just ask who you got those quotes from?

Everytime I look at booking either of those hotels they are looking for £100 per night off peak, and we have managed to get an onsite hotel cheaper!

even on disneyland paris website it says dream castle is £143 and cheynne is £145 thats not including any special offers, agent discounts etc. Ok so not much cheaper but cheaper and sooo much nicer. 1 is 2 star the other is 4

Not sure when going but just looked on Expedia for 5 nights end August / beg Sept and its:

£78 per night at the Magic Circus (86)
£86 per night at Dream Castle (£94)

For double room and breakfast. For family of four and breakfast.

That's a good price. I'll have to look at Expedia next time

We stayed in the Vienna Dream Castle last month and I would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed here for the first night of our holiday then transfered to the DLH for the rest. I wish we had stayed here the whole time.

Don't get me wrong we've stayed in the DLH 3 times and it is beautiful with a fantastic location. However small touches made the Dreamcastle superior. A fridge in the room, coffee and tea making facilities as standard, immaculate rooms and facilities, wide selection at breakfast and of course the L'Occitaine handwash, shampoo and shower cream.

We had booked our halloween trip before we went and are staying in the HNY. Had I experienced the Dreamcastle earlier I would have booked there. With competition like this Disney really need to buck up their ideas. Reports of rooms, bathrooms requiring upgrading and maintenance are not acceptable particularly for the prices charged.

Just to add, the Magic Circus is also a 4 star hotel, and when we stayed there for the first time in May, they also had hot breakfast at no extra charge, L'Occitane toiletries in the bathroom, free tea/coffee making facilities, a great swimming pool (it looks small in the brochure, but actually its really quite big, with jets, and a completely separate childrens pool). And best of all, we had a king-sized bed which was absolutely ginormous - you can see my photos here (mine is the last review on page 3) -

I got good quotes for this hotel from travelrepublic, also alpharooms and sunshine.co.uk were competitive.

I would say, given that theres such a small difference in the price you've been quoted between the Dream Castle and the Magic Circus, go with whichever one you like the look of more .

Thanks everyone for you replies. I think i'm going to go with the dream castle! It does look lovely. Has anyone got any money saving tips for over there? I want to spend a day in paris sightseeing too and have read about the hop on hop off buses, does anyone know where we could catch this from? I presume i will have to get the train to somewhere before we can catch a bus? Where do i buy the bus tickets?

Cap'njack i got these quotes off expedia and onhotels.com. You can also get in touch with the hotel directly and its about the same price as i said before.

kelly_a89, you catch the RER into Paris from the station outside Disney. You can buy Mobilis tickets which allow travel on metro but if you want to do a hop on hop off tour it may be better to just buy straightforward one way tickets there and back.

We've used L'Open Tour for a hop on hop off tour, they do four different routes with plenty of stops.

You would take the RER to Auber, the L'Open Tour office is just across the street (and to the right) as you exit the station.
