Which Hotel Has the Most Dogs??

I happen to like a "quiet" room location..I would be VERY DISSATISFIED if I had a barking dog next to me..

I live with one every day next door and I would like to get away from it..
How rude..Bring your dog in at night so the neighbors don't have to listen to your dog yelp at 9:30 at night..

So sorry to hear about your dog. He sounds like he loved Universal as much as his family!

Thanks, Blue was a great best friend. We have a chocolate lab now and she has never been to Universal but I'm sure she would love it as well. She looks a little like Scooby Doo. I don't like taking dogs to Uni or especially WDW but sometimes its all you can do.

My DH and I stay at the Portofino and/or the Hard Rock for two weeks a year, every year and have done so for the last eight years. We take our american eskie with us every time. The staff and most visitors love him. I have only encountered a couple of sneers from people in the past couple of years. I guess some people do not do their research and have no clue that all Loews hotels accept pets.

More and more hotels are allowing people to bring pets with them including many five star hotels such as the Ritz Carlton Peninsula and the Four Seaons amongst many others.

Going to a pet friendly hotel and not wanting to see or hear a dog is like going to Disney World and getting upset because there are children acting like brats while there. If seeing and/or hearing a dog will upset you that much then do not stay at a pet friendly hotel people.

Why are you so bitter? Your opinion means nothing to me. I feel sorry for you if you think that $300.00 a night is "serious money". I hope you have a pleasant stay next time. Make sure you watch out for the dog poop.

I'm not bitter. I just do not care for your elitist attitude.

Your insinuation that I was "clueless" and did not "research" was rude and erroneous. I do expect there to be dogs. But I don't have to like it.

I joined the Dis for all of the invaluable information and money saving tips.

Along the way, the different personalities and the need to help others kept me coming back.

Most people vary on how they feel about dogs....some non dog owners don't realize that to dog lovers they are like children to us. I have 5 non-allergenic dogs and 4 kids. I love my dogs but do love my kids more. Most non dog lovers focus on the bad things about dogs, mainly poop and barking. I DON"T like some dogs for the same reasons.

I don't like going to a hotel with dogs because I am allergic but I know already to ask for a non dog room at loews.. Where I live everyone who walks a dog has to carry a plastic bag..it is the rule.....

anyway, as most have said, not too many dogs around and it sounds like the hotels really make sure pets impact others as little as possible.

Just got back from 4 days at PBH. We were assigned 5th floor west wing....the first two days were great. I wasn't feeling good this trip, and was really looking forward to a lot of rest and relaxation. Then on Saturday a family with a yapper moved in directly across from us. When they left the dog alone for the afternoon, it yapped and yapped and yapped. I did call Star Services, they said they'd look into it. The dog stopped once the family came back, which meant we at least slept at night, but then on Sunday it started all over again. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed in our experience.
We've stayed at PBH at least a dozen times, and this was the first time I encountered such a problem. I do respect those who feel the need to bring their dogs, and I respect the fact the Loews hotels are pet friendly. But I do feel that a separate wing should be allocated so pet families are all together.
