If money is no object, which resort would you pick for a 7 night honeymoon, and why?

Edited to add: A lot of you have suggested a split stay, when I mentioned this to BF, he said no way! He doesn't want to pack and move. Once he's in a room, that's it!

I would chose WL. This is where we stayed for our honeymoon and it was fantastic. Very romantic with all the fireplaces and sitting area you can really have a lot of quality time. Have a great time with wherever you chose.
Congrats. :daisy:

WL is out, BF didn't like it (though I do!) He won't stay there, period.

He loves the Poly, but I'd like to try other hotels as well (though I wouldn't mind staying there again!)

I've always wanted to stay at GF, he's not that impressed but is willing for my sake.

Neither of us have seen the YC, BC, or BWI in person, so we have no opinion one way or the other!

I voted GF for me personally, but then I would use the spa etc and spend less time in the parks. My favourite resort is the Beach Club. I love the atmosphere, the location and of course SAB. Oh and I love the restaurants in the YC/BC too.

If money was no object, I would do Polynesian lagoon view concierge! The theme of the Polynesian is romantic and you can't beat the convenience of the transportation. -Stephanie

Although the Poly would seem a likley choice given it's theme (and I love it there), but I stayed at GF last September and kept thinking what a great Resort for a honeymoon. We had a room with 2 balconies, a view of the Castle, CR, Monorail gliding by, lagoon..it was incredible! Never would have thought I'd say it, but my vote is GF hands down!

I didn't vote since the resort I'd choose is AKL. When I was there in August, it seemed very romantic. Sitting at Victoria Falls having drinks, having dinner at Jiko, breakfast on your balcony while watching the animals... Plus, it seems more removed from the parks which I think is a big plus for a honeymoon.

We stayed at the Beach Club for our honeymoon 10 years ago and loved it. It is a beautiful hotel with the best pool, and is walking distance to EPCOT. Definately my choice. We've stayed at the Boardwalk, nice place, but BC is still better for honeymoon.

I think it really depends on your personality. I would spend the 1st half at the Beach Club water view, then I would stay the last half at the Polynesian Concierge. I would never be able to get my husband near the Grand Floridian, it just isn't his style. If you don't have that problem, then by all means, go for Concierge Grand Floridian Castle View!

I would stay at the Yacht club. My husband and i were there in Nov. It seemed quieter than other resorts we went to see. Also the Cast members made it quite romantic for us. These people treat their guests very well and I thought it made it a very special and romatic trip for us.
We loved the boat rides to MGM and Epcot. You can walk around the lake and go over to the Boardwalk, walk over to Beaches and Cream for some ice cream. ( we did this one night and even that felt romatic)
Yup... we loved and and we are going back in April

Money no object??? Definitely Grand Floridian. We would have loved to have been able to stay at GF for our honeymoon but it was cheaper to go to the Caribbean for 8 days plus WDW for 6 days staying at Coronado than it was to stay at GF for a week. We just didnt think it was worth it but hey, if money is no object-GO Grand Floridian!!! It's beautiful!!!

We stayed GF, Poly LV concierge and WL concierge for our honeymoon in September and loved all three!! Since you said your BF does not like WL, I would suggest splitting your stay between the GF and Poly....we did not do concierge at the GF but if you can, go for it. We had what we thought was probably the best room in Disney at the Poly, room 3502....we had an awesome view of the castle! We loved concierge at the Poly. Good luck :)

stayed at the carribean beach for our honeymoon that was so long ago when we didn't have a lot of money (not that we're now rich). But, now, i'd definately stay at the GF - hands down.

Split stays are out, BF doesn't want to pack and move in the middle of our honeymoon. Refused to even consider it.

Thanks for the suggestions and comments, keep 'em comming!

big fat ditto!

We split our Honeymoon between WL concierge (honeymoon room) and AKL concierge. That's when our love affair started with AKL.

I voted Poly, but that was before you posted again and told us that you and BF have already been there together. Don't you want someplace new to the both of you for your honeymoon??

So, I'd like to change my vote to YC. But then again, our favorite park (for adults) is EPCOT. You could hit other parks in the day and go over to EPCOT for dinner everynight. :teeth:

Too bad he won't split a stay. We LOVE doing that.

GF wins my vote! DH and I honeymooned there beginning of december and had the main building concierge and just loved it. Since we did the land/sea package we also stayed at the poly after the GF but wished we had stayed at the GF the whole time we were at WDW.

If money is no object, I would definetly add concierge to any of the places you plan to stay at, there's nothing like being pampered on such a special occasion!!! :earboy2:
