Which hotel chains do you recommend?

We're planning our drive to Disney in July and although we've always stayed at Hampton Inns in the past, we had a bad experience at one in 2002 and I was just wondering if there are any other chains DISers here feel comfortable booking, sight unseen. Hampton Inns do seem to be a little more expensive than other chains and I'm not sure if it's worth it if we can't be guaranteed a clean room.

FYI: our stop on the way down will be somewhere around Rock Hill, SC and Bridgeport/Fairmont/Morgantown, WV on the way back. We don't need anything fancy (just 2 beds) but it has to be clean. Any recommendations/experience with those locations? TIA

I can tell ya, if I see a "Days Inn" I just keep driving. I am yet to ever find a good one!
Fairfied Inn, again aliittle pricey but never a problem.
