Which holiday weekend would you choose?

I'm taking a "sisters" weekend during December to hit MVMCP, the last year of Osborne lights, and the general holiday merriment at Disney. We are trying to decide between the weekends of Dec 4-6 or Dec 11-13. Which would you choose? Has one been historically been more crowded than the other?

Our plans: fly to Orlando Friday morning, hit the MK party Friday night, do Epcot AM/HS PM on Saturday, and AK Sunday AM before we fly home. We plan to stay at AKL and the room rates are only slightly higher the second weekend, so that is not a huge factor. It looks like MVMCP tickets are currently available for both Fridays.

Which ever weekend the Christmas parade/celebrity segments is not being filmed..

Typically the first weekend of December. So maybe opt for Dec. 11-13.

But the parade only makes a difference at MK and you don't plan on going there except for the party so I'm not sure if that would make a huge difference for you or not.

MVMCP for the AP discount is sold out in December except for the 1st, 3rd and 8th. Crowd levels in the MK before the party are expected to be the same on both Fridays- but that has absolutely nothing to do with what the crowds will be like during the two parties since it is a separate ticketed event and includes admission to the park. Weekend dates in December tend to be busier as compared to during the week in early December- but it would just be a guess as to whether either of those parties will be busier than the other and/or sell out. There is no way to know what visitor and local demand will be, so pick your dates, get your tickets, and enjoy your trip.
