Which grocery store do people go to? We are staying in a studio at Poly, and will be getting an uber to the store, but would like one with a good range so we can stock up for breakfast/lunch.

Thanks

^^ Publix for sure, Regency Village I believe is the closest. I shopped there when I was on my DCP and it will have everything you need. Bakery, cold cuts, good produce section, lots of good pre-made options & deli window for sandwiches, etc.

Usually Publix east on 192 by Old Town, but last time I was at WDW in October, I went to the Walmart West on 192 and it was fine.

I love Publix, especially the app. You can create a list there, and not only does it sort items according to aisle number, if something is along the back wall the app tells you whether it’s on one end or the other or in the middle. It makes shopping in an unfamiliar store a breeze!

It works so long as you select the store you are actually shopping in. I learned this the hard way when I forgot to change from my home store to the one near my hotel on my last vacation. I was looking for paper plates and plastic silverware and it kept sending me to the frozen food aisle instead! Once I had the correct store selected, it was simple. I felt so dumb! :headache:

What am I missing here? I'm not seeing any of those stores anywhere near Disney.
You aren't missing anything, poster didn't read the OG post. :rolleyes1

Most will go to Publix. Some go to Walmart. Last few trips I went to ALDI which is close to the Publix. I'm getting lunchmeat, rolls, potato salad, juice boxes, muffins ... not a huge order so I get in and out.

Understood. I guess I’m lucky I don’t have Publix at home, so every time I open the app it makes me choose a store! :p I’ve gotten real good at mapping all the Publix along whatever route we’re taking so I can pick the most convenient one.

Yeah, I have a Publix right across from the entrance to my neighborhood, so I shop there regularly. I had made the vacation shopping list before I got in the car to leave, but didn’t think about changing the store. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong for the longest time. Some Publix stores have the freezers in the middle of the store instead of the perimeter and the vacation store is one of them.

Target is actually a little cheaper than Publix on some things, so for a one time shopping trip, it doesn’t hurt to check there as well. I mostly shop the Publix sales (which are on the website) but last week Target had butter, cheese, and frozen pizza cheaper than Publix sale price, so I did a pick up order. Target is about four miles away (eight round trip) so I don’t go there unless the savings are really good that week.

That’s so clever!

I love Aldi! The centre aisle of total randomness is always fun.

I had to laugh at your post. The title of the post just listed what grocery store so I will give them a pass for just glancing at that and not about taking an uber from the poly lol
