Which grocery store do you prefer...

Albertson's, Winn-Dixie or Publix? Not a huge fan of Super Walmart or Target, we tend to eat all natural or organic food, and neither one has a good selection in my opinion.

While in Orlando we prefer Publix. There are lots of them around, generally very well stocked and a broad range of merchandise - particularly fresh fruits and vegetables.
Though, with that said, I think that Winn-Dixie is probably a little more affordable if you get a Winn-Dixie customer reward card (similar to the Shaw's Rewards card that we use in New England). They'll send you a card in the mail if you sign up online.

We prefer the publix and usually shop at the one located outside Orange Lake. While Walmart has a few items which may be less expensive, we love the deli and bakery at Publix. Try the Key Lime pie and the new Mango Key Lime Pie. Delish! Our family would rather have these treats instead of Birthday Cake!

We've always used Publix when getting our free 1/2 hour grocery shopping trip. Never tried the others.

While i was living near Disney, I lived near JUST south of Orlando. There, I would prefer Publix.
But here in Las Vegas, I go to a store called Smiths. They are pretty much all organic fruits and veggies. They also have great shrimp (Mmm. I LOVE shrimp.SSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
Anyway, I like both stores.

I go to Publix more than any other grocery store. I do go to the Walmart Neighborhood Market every now and then.

Thanks for all your help everyone...Publix it is! Anyone know which one is the closest to Coronado Springs?

We're also planning to hit Publix. Which one is closest to Bonnet Creek? We may stop on the way from MCO to BC. Thanks!

We have been using the Public's over by the Outlets. We usually stay at SSR. Love it. Great deli, great bread. We also tried the Public's over by I think Gaylord Palms when we stayed at BWV last Sept.

I am another fan of Publix. We go to the one near Gaylord Palms or the one down 192 west of AKV. I know that a lot of people also like the Win Dixie. You did leave Goodings off your list. I would never shop there for standard things because their prices are too expensive, but they do have a nice "specialty foods" selection like sushi and premade meals.

I LOVE Publix!!!!!!!!! I am able to save TONS of money each week with Publix's awesome sales that they have.

Publix...plus they got a great wine collection. The Bakery is good.

WalMart Superstore for water and beer. Also both have those discount tourist coupons.

The biggest fight we have when we go to WDW is where to shop! :rotfl: We stay offsite for two weeks. I love Publix, but hit our local walmart before going for cheapest prices on many items (we take autotrain, so can pack the vehicle to the gills.)

But hubby guy likes to shop at Goodings. He even wants his raisin bran from Goodings. He just likes how it "feels" in there. :sad2::teacher:

Goodings... OUCH.. they are expensive.. stay away..:scared1: ;) Honestly, you have to talk him out of Goodings.. Publix is your best bet when here in FL. While you can get some deals in Wal-Mart, Publix is cleaner & their food is usually much fresher.. most of those that live here will tell you to go to Publix...:thumbsup2

Where we live is so very rural that our grocery store is perfectly functional, but it is utilitarian, with virtually zero deli or specialty foods, and adequate perfectly normal produce, but nothing "exotic."

He says when he goes in Goodings, it feels like an extra world at WDW to him: "Goodings World." It makes him happy. (Yes, he does all the shopping in our family.)

So we first make the run to Publix and get all the basics, and then I let him go to Goodings, and pick out a few special things that will make the week feel gourmet. But nope, not the raisin bran. That's why we go to Publix first.
