Which grocery delivery service do you use?

For the first time, we are considering a grocery delivery service. We are staying next month at the Boardwalk Villas, and are thinking about having groceries delivered. I have read about a lot of different services that everyone use, and I am having a hard time making a decision.

Can I schedule the groceries several weeks in advance?
How "on time" is the delivery?
We are not ordering alcohol, so, do we have to be present to receive the groceries?
Which service do you use?

Thanks, everyone!

This last trip I used Instacart.
  1. You can fill up your cart beforehand and then just order it that morning.
  2. They were exactly on time. You get notifications from the app from your picker, and then from your driver.
  3. I did not order booze this time so no, you don't have to be there. Bell services will hold them for you.

Btw, we were also at BWV and the hotel did charge us the $6 for bringing up the groceries even though they also brought up our owner's locker at the same time.

Over the years I have used garden grocer, last year switched to Prime Now and this time Instacart. I much preferred Instacart. Very easy to use. I might be able to give you a coupon too, I got one off the boards for $10 off my first order.

We arrive in just under 2 weeks. I've been adding/deleting to my instacart for a couple of weeks now. I will send the order either the evening before or the morning of the day we arrive for afternoon delivery.

We use Dizzy Dolphin, you can amend your order up to a few days before. We find them reasonably priced & great service always packaged well and left with bell services.

Do you find it a huge pain to enter the list on their website? It seems quite clunky and cumbersome, especially with a big order. My December order will have approximately 200 items in it. I’ve tried entering a few of them and it’s not a fun process. Wondering if I could send an email with a word attachment?

We've used several grocery delivery services over the years. Lately, we've been using Walmart and Instacart. Both services have been fine. With Walmart, it is not as easy to specify substitutions. With Instacart, it is much easier to specify them.

We have had groceries delivered by Bell Services and also have met the delivery person for the deliveries. It works both ways. On our most recent visit (after the $6 grocery fee was instituted), we met the Instacart driver at the front of the Polynesian because we had alcohol. We expected Bell Services to take our groceries for us, but they directed us to the luggage carts. I guess they were trying to save us the $6.

For instacart. How long does it keep your order in the cart? We leave in a couple weeks. If I put it in now. Will it stay, or will I have to re-enter it?

we've used them for a few years now & our first order we emailed through, since then I log in to my account & can amend the previous years order. They also have a facebook page that you can message them through.

Never considered that amending a previous order would be easy. It’s just the first order that would be a bit time consuming. They seem very good. I’m going to give them a try. Thanks.

Can you order deli meat from instacart/Publix? Random question I know, but this is one of the reasons why I typically like to shop for myself.

You can. Only thing is, you don't get a sample slice like you do when you go to Publix in person. :dogdance: On my recent trip, I had four orders from Instacart, and each one was excellent. I highly recommend it.

This is encouraging! How did you address the delivery? We will be staying at BCV, and I was planning to meet them out front (in case we order alcohol).

I always give as much info as I can, Resort name, Room #, etc.

Shipt. We used it often while at WDW and even at home. Free delivery if you spend more than $35 and you can often find trial memberships and cancel after you get home. I can send you a link for $50 (regularly $100) a year if you want. And they bring it straight to your villa

I have used both insta and Dizzy. Dizzy i found made some subs that we did not agree on. Like a light beer when we wanted reg. With insta there is a yearly fee if ypu dont cancel after 2 months or at least thats what they tried to charge us. We did get it back no issues.

What is a “safe” delivery window? I have been reading a number of stories about DVC rooms not being available until well after the 4PM checkin time. Will Bell Services keep refrigerated items cold until our room is available?
