Hi everyone,
We are staying at SSR in Feb. to celebrate my mom's birthday (who has not been to WDW since 1982) and my daughter's b-day who will be turning three. I would like to order in a few grocery items. What companies work the best and are there any suggestions?

We use wegoshop and absolutely love them. They will go to the store of your choice and even get the name brands you request. They are friendly, helpful and there when they say they will be.

Good luck with your choice and have a magical trip!

And we like Garden Grocer because they don't charge a separate delivery fee (it's built into the price of the items) AND most importantly we don't like to have to be there to receive the order. WeGo prefers that you're there to receive it and that you pay in cash. With Garden Grocer we can just pre-pay online with a credit card (incl. the tip) and they leave the order with Bell Services. I usually schedule the order to be delivered around the time our flight lands & it's there waiting on us when we check in. And if we have an early arrival & I know the unit won't be ready yet we can still go to the parks & know that our order is safe & sound with Bell Services. I always order a case of beer & a case of water too - soooo much cheaper than paying the Disney store prices! :thumbsup2

We used WeGoSop in December and loved it. They shop for you, so you can ask for specific items and don't have to just pick from a selective list. The fee was not bad at all...I think $15 and our grocery bill was about $45. We tipped her too. We checked in...I called her as we were checking in to let her know we had arrived...we checked in and walked over to our villa and she came about 10 minutes after that. It was very nice!

Same here, tried the other guy and had missing items. Took 3 days to make it right.

Well, to confuse you more..... We used Garden Grocer several times and had great experiences, we decided to try Wego this past fall - NEVER AGAIN. I wrote about our experience on a couple of other of threads. Garden Grocer from now on for us.

We've used both for almost the exact same order, and the prices were within a few dollars of each other. However, like Annie said we prefer GardenGrocer because we don't have to be there to meet them, we can pay in advance and have the order waiting at Bell Services. When we tried WeGoShop, we ended up having to wait in the lobby for them for 15 minutes since our room wasn't ready and they needed to meet us in person.

I agree we like the groceries waiting for us when we check in. Very nice! The choices are liited with Garden Grocer, but they served us well.

They told me they would leave our order with the bellhop if we weren't there. They just charge a small extra fee for that.

We've used WeGoShop numerous times and never had a problem. Will continue to use them in the future. When we paid using a credit card they left the items at bell services. We did not have to be there.

We used Garden Grocer in October. Everything was PERFECT! No problems, easy to deal with. Easy on line order system and they follow up with you with a telephone call the next day. I like that. :worship:

We've just placed our second order with them for this Wednesday and I have complete confidence that every thing will be ready and waiting for us when we check in.

Everything is double bagged..... refrigerated items and freezer items are clearly labeled and delivered to bell service at our resort. We check in, call bell service and they are delivered to our room.

Fast, efficient, friendly. What more can ask for!?!?!?! :confused3

Tell them mouseaider sent you. :thumbsup2

Why should you pay a fee for such a simple service when Garden Grocer will do it for nothing? :confused3

FWIW whenever I was first checking into the 2 companies a few years ago Marge at WeGo told me the fee is a percentage of your order (like maybe 10% or something, I forget now) and it's actually for using a credit card to prepay rather than for being there waiting with cash. So if your order is of any great value that "small extra fee" could add up. If you want to avoid the extra fee you have to BE THERE with CASH.

We used Garden Grocer. I sent the login and password info to everyone on the trip who was going. Everyone could add what they wanted to the shopping list. I paid for order, including tip all before we arrived. They delivered before we got there, and we got in on check in. Flawless. Now if someone could recommend a liquor store delivery service so I don't have to pay $13 for a 6 pack.

GG always delivers our alcohol request which seem to be at cost. You have to let them know when you place the order and they will call you to confirm what they can get.

Garden Grocer will also pick up beer, wine & liquor for you once you've reached their minimum order requirement. Just enter it into the comments what brand / size you want and fax them a copy of your drivers license (if you want it left with Bell Services you have to fax it anyway). They will call you back right before your order delivery date with the total for your specific itemsl. We always order a case of beer....it's more than what we pay at home but SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than what Disney charges per beer!!:goodvibes
