I am so curious... but wouldn't dare post a ? about this... (i don't think I have been around long enough to have read a lot of threads about it)

But WHY do flames fly around threads involving taking kids out of school for trips?? Is it because of educational values, or because they want less kids at disney certain times of the year? I never really understood this. :confused3

Some people have the opinion that children should not be taken out of school for a week for something like a vacation. Also I guess some school districts have different policies for doing this and people stick to those particular policies and believe others should as well.

I have seen A LOT of flaming about people cramming 6 people in a room meant for 4 or "other" stretches of room occupancy truth. THOSE are something else to watch!

Not to mention Florida state law dictates this procedure. Disney doesn't have a choice, even if they wanted one.

See I knew this thread had pupose I learned something new :thumbsup2

I voted other "refillable Mugs"

My favorite was from a poster who started a thread about how to get a free lunch at Disney. They said to get a free cup of water and then use the topping bar to create your own salad. It was a hysterical read!

Sitting and Standing on buses, should seats be given up and to whom you give them up too. Should you feel obligated to give up your seat to others is a very opinionated crowd.

You can't use this one, I already did on page one of this thread :rotfl:

Your not kidding, this one is always very opinionated.

Ah, never thought of this one....I guess I am a nicer person than I realized. :lmao: I always give up seats on the subway for pregnant and/or elderly...on the monorail, I have done it as well. Juast seems like a nice thing to do. :confused3

I'm with you. I even posted that I always give up my seat for someone elderly, handicapped, a child, or a woman. I was attacked by someone on here for stating that I do this. :confused3

Anyone remember the thread where some nutritionist from LA complained about all of the "fat" people she saw making numerous trips up to the buffets and how disgusted she was by that?

That thread had me rolling with laughter at how angry people were getting when it was obvious that this person was just trying to stir the pot and get attention.

Can we just go there for a minuet? This is OT but similar to point of this comment.

People who use their body to hold a parking space. OMG, it burns me! Hasn't happened in Disney, but over Christmas time this lady, stood in a parking spot for what seemed like 20 mins waiting for her family/friend/whatever to come FORM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MALL and park. She flatly refused to move, my DH tried pulling in and she turned around, I wanted to go off. We found another spot and just watched as people kept trying to park and she would shake her head and turn around. Mind you, this was the last few days before Christmas, the mall was packed and there were zero parking spots. Anywho... sorry about the rant! But this is what popped into my head when I read this comment :confused3
:rotfl:

This happened to us at DTD on our last trip. We thought the guy was lost and confused. I finally got out and asked if he needed help finding someone and he told me what he was doing. I was so floored I just got back in the car and had DH head to the back of the lot. When we walked by 10 minutes later he was still standing there. :confused3

As a Mexican, I can safely say that you could probably fit 57 people in there.

Yes, I didn't recall where they were from but it was pretty funny. Wasn't there something about the bottoming out of the boats in a small world, too?

I voted "Other"
I always feel horrible for the first time member that asks the question, "We are a family of 5, do you think Disney will know that we are all in the room booked for 4"

I always think - Oh No, watch out, you are about to get flamed.

My little Susie was born with a heart condition that makes her shorter than normal. How many folded up maps do I need to put in her shoes to giver her the extra 2 inches required to ride Mission Space?

I feel bad when I see that happen as well. It makes me wonder why people can't just simply answer the question: "Yes and here's why" or "No and here's why not" and let that be the end of it. Instead people have to get personal with it and inject their personal views, opinions, preferences and rules into the reply.

When I first joined here I waited a long time before posting because I was afraid someone was going to crucify me for saying the wrong thing or asking a stupid question.

What I would be disgusted by is if these "fat" people did not leave enough food at the buffet for this (me) "fat" person to get his fill. :rotfl2:

1. whether or not to force/coerce/trick kids onto rides they are scared of.
2. what age is "old enough" to go it alone in a Disney park or at the resorts.

You can really get some "mommier than thou" opinions on these subjects.

I think there have been a few people upset about "pick a pearl" because it kills the oyster.

I voted other. My favorites:
Can I sleep 5 in a value room?
DON'T STAY AT X HOTEL!!!!!! It's the worst hotel EVER!!!!!!!!!!!1

I sometimes lurk on the DVC boards and know that I'm forgetting something over there!

Oh what fun! :rotfl:

One more - cooking in your resort room:eek:

I must have missed this one. I bet that was interesting.

Stepmoms who want to take a family trip that does not include the step children.
I always assume the poor step kids aren't part of the "real" family.

VERY glad I missed this one.

I voted for taking the kiddos out of school but any of them are treading in dangerous water. Also strollers anything. Swaps, what age, should i get one, how much are they, mowing down people, saving spots with them, putting them on busses, etc. etc. Stroller is a sub conscious trigger word for fight on here for some I do believe.
