We'll be at WDW 1-15th May.

Planned to visit MK on 6th and 9th but have 14th and morning of 15th which we've left free to re-visit parks or relax.

My hope is to be able book FP for SDMT on 9th May, assuming it opens by then.

FP booked are:

6th - Peter Pan, Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain.

9th - 9:40 Belle, 10:50 Little Mermaid, 12:30 Space Mountain

Taking into account the likely wait times etc. Of the three FP bookings I have on 9th, which would you change to SDMT?

I'd switch out Little Mermaid. It's a constant motion ride with continuous line flow.
Not a FP necessity during a non peak time in my opinion.

Good question: I have all three mts reserved right now for May 6, should FP+ open for SDMC I am thinking to give up SM because I don't even ride it so my DH and kids can just do single rider line or wait. I am soooo hoping to end up having that problem! I will have one other shot at it when we do an evening at MK on May 8. pixiedust:

Food for thought - IF they decide to Tier MK - speculation is they would do it when 7D FP+ come online..... if that is the case it/ they may 'force' you to rebook your FP+ entirely for that day - only getting one Tier 1 option - and say 2 Tier 2s (similar to Epcot and DHS).

Now I'm hoping they don't do that but you may want to think about what you would do in that scenario - drop all 3 FP and rebook your day - probably losing some of the prime FP you already have? Or going to 7D first thing in the morning hoping to ride it standby quickly...?

I'm in the same boat - we're heading down in mid-May - FP have been done for ages. I hope they release the 7D FP and don't Tier but if they do we're keeping our booked FP and going at RD to ride 7D (probably 2 mornings)

On to your original question - I too would drop Little Mermaid in favor of 7D

Assuming they don't tier MK, I agree with the others who said to exchange Little Mermaid. I think that's a very clear choice.

Watching & waiting for FP openings for our June trip. I have A&E, PP, and SM. In our case I will give PP for SDMT. I wouldn't have booked mermaid to begin with. But I too have to watch for tiering because I'm concerned A&E or SM may have to get booted for SDMT??

Also Splash is good to cancel if you don't mind riding at night. I think that one lightens up because people don't want to be cold and wet

I'd change it out for little mermaid. I don't think that line gets as long as the others.

I would change Little Mermaid and Thunder Mountain

I agree with this. We have found that later in the day, especially when MK has either evening EMH or is naturally open late that both of those rides have a pretty short wait. We have got off of BTM and got right back on before several times.

I'd drop Thunder Mt or Splash Mt and do one of them at rope drop. I've never had a huge wait at either 1st thing in the morning.

On the other day....I'd say rope drop Mermaid and FP SDMT.

SM = Space Mountain or Splash Mountain? In either case, there is no single rider line.

We're there May 18 to 25, hoping for FP+ for Mine Train but there was a posted rumor that it will not have FP+ at first, not until they know it is running smooth.

Mermaid is a walk on every morning and every evening even during the busiest of times.
Dump Ariel and walk on in the morning after you hit all the other big hits in fantasyland. Also put your fast passes at mid day. Your wasting fast passes by using them in the morning.
