I am getting varying opinions on this from this board. We are going in June. Should we head straight to Dumbo at Rope Drop and then ride Barnstormer, then Peter Pan. OR should we ride Peter Pan first and then go to Dumbo?

Thanks!

Dumbo and Goofy then PP. You can also have someone run to pull PP FP and then join your group at Dumbo. Also check out Dumbo at night with the lights and water features. Definate photo op!!!
Enjoy your planning!!!

I mostly agree with JDUB. Personally I would do Dumbo, Barnstormer, then go get a FP for PP. If the PP wait is under 20 minutes still (haha), then forgo the FP and use it on something else like Space, Splash, or BTMRR. If you choose to do it, the PP FP still shouldn't be too far out in the day to make it a problem.

The only other thing that might be a concern is that I thought I heard that Barnstormer may not open immediately at rope drop. I'm probably remembering that wrong though. Anyone confirm or deny?

We just did this two mornings last week. We were there at rope drop, headed straight to Dumbo. We were the 3rd "flight." No one was in line for Barnstormer while we waited for Dumbo. We hit Barnstormer twice with no wait (maybe 1-2 minutes?). The kids had to use the restroom (of course!:headache:) so I went and got PP fastpasses. We had time to ride Pooh (10 min wait) and Small World before our fastpasses were ready. We did all of it, including Pan, by 10:30am. The line for Pan was 40 minutes when we got off.

Getting there later on the second day made a difference on wait times. We got there at 9:15 instead of rope drop, Dumbo went down (didn't get to ride it) and Barnstormer went down right before our 3rd ride. Had the same restroom break while I got PP fastpasses. This time, the kids did the tea cups with their Grandma, we did the Merida meet & greet, and Philharmagic before our PP return time. Rode PP, then Small World by 11:30am.

I'm glad you asked this question!! I was just wondering the same thing this morning. We have always gone early June and had a ADR for CP between 8 and 8:15. After eating quickly and paying the check at the beginning of the meal, this put us in FL at rope drop. We have always done Dumbo, then PP and then depending on time, we would either get a FP for Pooh or ride it. Then we would head to Toon Town for Barnstormer. So I too was wondering if them moving Dumbo and Barnstormer being open at rope drop would change the order we needed to do things. I am interested in what everyone has to tell ya!! :thumbsup2

By the way, the deciding factor for me is that Pan has FPs while the others do not. All three are low-capacity, slow-loading attractions, so the safe bet is to do the ones with no FP first (assuming you are doing them all at rope drop), then hit the one with the FP option last.

Definitely do Dumbo First! The lines for Dumbo can get awfully long- and unbearable when you're toting little ones with you!

I'd say: Do Dumbo First thing in the morning, Check the lines at Pan and Goofini (previously Barnstormer)- if both are short- ride Goofini before Pan (it has become more popular than the latter)- then Ride Pan afterwards.

If the line at Peter Pan is looking like it could be long by the time you finish Goofini- grab a Fastpass, ride the Goofini (twice maybe) and then head over to Peter Pan and bypass the line!

Enjoy! :)

This is our strategy, too. We visit in early June and schedule an early ADR at CP so we can be in Fantasyland first thing. We ride Dumbo while DH grabs FPs for PP.

Goofini has become more popular than Pan? Uh, don't think so. ;) :goodvibes

I head to Space and get FP while sending the fam to Dumbo which I don't mind missing in the least (it's the same ride as Aladdin and Triceretops Spin with 4 times the wait), then meet them to get in line for Pan. With the new configuration of the park it may make more sense to put Pan as the third ride behind Goofini, plus if you get to Pan and the SB line is too long then you always have the option to FP it later in the day.

What time did you see Merida and how was the wait? We are trying to work that in as well without too much of a wait.

Thanks!

FP Peter Pan. And do Dumbo / Barnstormer / Pooh / Tea Cups before PP Fast Pass time

I was thinking of starting my rope drop in tomorrowland.

Is that a mistake?

I was wondering about that too. Should I send my husband to get Fast Passes for Space Mountain while me and the kids get in line for Dumbo and then Goofini??

waiting 30 minutes in line is out of my realm of reality--lol

I was hoping to hit fantasyland after midnight of our visit. and visit the other lands during the day- Tomorrowland first then adventureland.
Do both of those lands before 1:30=
