I need to pick 2 TS restaurants for Epcot. So I've narrowed it down to

Chefs de France

Akershus (breakfast, dh is too picky for their lunch or dinner)

San Angel Inn

Le Cellier? Lunch only- don't want to use 2 ts on one meal

We have 3 kids ds8, dd6 and dd 17 months.

Thanks!!! Making adr's Monday :)

Love Les Chefs. Not a fan of Le Cellier and definitely NOT NOW that is 2TS. Akershus breakfast is great too.San Angel was ok.What about Biergarten?

I would love biergarten but dh won't go near anything with cabbage :) so not sure the menu would appeal to him??

My kids like San Angel because of the atmosphere. They think its really cool inside with the Myan pyramid and if you get a table close to the water edge, you can watch people loading into the boats for the ride. If you are not close, you can still get up and watch. You can also walk them around the shops that is right next to the restaurant and still be able to see your table. The only negative is that it is kind of dark, but we love eating here on a hot day.

What about Biergarten?

I agree with going for Biergarten. The buffet has choices for the picky and the adventurous, the band and atmosphere are a lot of fun for kids as well as adults (the beer just makes it a little extra nice).

I would also go with Akershus.

If Biergarten is out of the question, I would go with Les Chef's. If your kids are fans of Remy, go for lunch or for a real early dinner. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone!

So I'm definitely interested in Biergarten now. I'll have to look at pics of the food. And someone said beer??? Is that included in the buffet??

Ok, one more Biergarten question....I just read that "seating is at a long communal table". Is that high chair friendly???

Teppan Edo. I know it's not on your list, but the chefs put on a great show for the kids. We went when our youngest was 2 and he loved it. I usually get the steak. Everything is prepared right in front of you on a big grill. High chairs are available for the baby. Onion volcanoes....

Otherwise, Biergarten!

Even though it wasn't on your list, I'll put in a plug for Garden Grill (in The Land). I really enjoyed it last time we ate there. The salad was really fresh and tasty, and I liked the entrees and dessert. My kids liked the characters. :)

On your list, I'd try to get Le Cellier. We're skipping it next visit and I'm a little bummed. San Angel would also be on my list if we hadn't loved Tutto Italia last time - we're going back.

Was going to ask why no one had suggested GG :rotfl: We are trying this out for the first time in July. I've heard great things about it too!

Akershus for breakfast was REALLY good!

We had lunch at Le Chefs and even my picky kiddo's found something to enjoy in the menu.

I've heard good things about Tapan Edo, Nine Dragons and Bier Garten as well as San Angel. The only resturant I wouldnt consider for kiddo's is the one in Morroco.

There is more to German food besides the kraut, I highly recommend spatzle and brats with brotchen! (I lived in Germany for 3 years though and those were some of my favorite things to eat)

I just asked my DD9 what she would choose out of your list and she said definitely Akershus breakfast....she picked this because this is a must do meal for us especially on our first full day before the park opens. She also picked out Chefs de France....she wanted me to tell you to make sure you get a time for when you can meet with Remy, he was cute and fun to meet. We liked Chefs so much in September that we are going back in May. Have a great time.

If choosing from those on your list, I would choose Les Chefs de France and San Angel Inn. We have eaten at both restaurants with DD7, DD5, and DD3. We all found something we liked on the menu at Chefs de France. The food was good and the service was quick and excellent. We all love the atmosphere at San Angel Inn. Admittedly, my kids did not eat much (except chips and salsa!), but they loved the atmosphere. We will definitely visit both restaurants in the future.

I also think your family would enjoy Teppan Edo. The food is good and the show is entertaining for the whole family.

Another thumbs up for Teppan Edo - it's hibatchi style & they do a nice job keeping the kids entertained.

Coral Reef is not on your list an it has good food an great Atmosphere :thumbsup2

Yes! High chair friendly! we really liked this place! Yummmmy food.

and beer is a separate price from the buffet. My mom said she enjoyed the beer when we went. They may have a flight of beer too.

Biergarten!! There are definately enough choices outside of cabbage for the hubby!

thanks everyone! I am going to have to re evaluate all the menus :)

We are definitely doing Akershus for breakfast :) DD 6 loves the princesses.
