Which Dvc Would You Pick For First Visit?

This Will Be My Families First Visit As Dvc Members And I Was Wondering Which Resort Do You Think Would Be A Good Fit For Us.we Will Be There The Weekend Before And Beginning Of The Week Of Thankgiving Leaving On That Wednesday. Ive Got Two Children That Are 9 And 7 If That Would Make Any Differences. Thanks For Any Insight!

This year? Take what you can get. Its unlikely too many choices will be available for the week leading into Thanksgiving five months out. OKW and SSR are your likely options.

We have favorite things at all the resorts. It is always hard to decide where to stay. I agree, take whatever is available. Good luck!

BWV or SSR would be our 2 choices hands down more to see and do with these 2 resorts especially with proximity to DTD and the boardwalk and all of it's activities.

We picked OKW because that is our home resort, but we booked a 2BR and now I am thinking that may have been a BIG mistake since I won't be able to convince ourselves to stay in a studio after that!!!

BTW, if you do have any choice....the resort you bought at is nice for sentimental reasons for a first trip. If you aren't sentimental in that fashion....then it starts to really depend on what appeals to you.

With the age of your children, VWL may be the best choice because of its proximity to the Magic Kingdom and the "child friendly" fun restaurant at Wilderness Lodge. VWl is a small resort, so as other posters have mentioned, you may not have much choice with Thanksgiving about 5 months away. We don't own at VWL (BCV owners), but it's a great resort in our opinion. We love it at Xmas, and hope to purchase an add-on there partially for that reason.

That's just what I was thinking too-guess I'm sentimental-for your first visit, if possible, stay at your home resort.

I have to agree with a lot of the others. My first thought was stay wherever your home resort is if you can get it. If not, wherever you can get a room at this point.

I agree, there is something special about staying at your home resort. I've had a great time at each of the resorts I've stayed at, but at BCV I really feel like I'm at home!
