Which DVC resorts offer 2 beds in 2nd BR guarantee?

Two years ago I learned when we made a reservation for BCV and I asked for 2 beds in the second bedroom that it would be guaranteed when I arrived, not simply a request. They confirm that choice with you at the time of booking. So my question is, do all resorts at WDW have this option or only certain ones?

All of OKW 2nd bedrooms have two queen sized beds. It is a booking catagory at BCV, VWL, and SSR. Not sure about AKV.

Always a separate booking category, not just an option (at least at the WDW resorts).

Except at BWV where there are no second bedrooms with two queens - all are lockoffs.

At all resorts that have dedicated - except BCV - the dedicated have two queens. BCV had some error and some of the dedicateds are too small for two queens - so some of the BCV dedicateds have the pullout.

(AKL may also be different, I haven't kept up on AKL).

Kidani will have both dedicated and lock-off 2BR. But Jambo is all lockoffs. So, like BWV, none of the 2BR will have 2 beds in the second bedroom.

As far as the WDW DVC resorts go, the only way to guarantee a two bedroom with two actual queen beds in the second bedroom is to stay at OKW. Since even the studios at OKW have two queen beds (none have a sleep sofa), even the lock off 2 bedroom units will have two queen beds in the second bedroom.

While the other DVC resorts may have separate booking categories for dedicated 2 bedroom units (with two queen beds in the second bedroom), there is no guarantee that you will be assigned to one. It is possible (but not likely) that you could be placed in a lock off unit (and thus have 1 queen bed and a double sleep sofa in the second bedroom). At the BCV,you could be assigned to a dedicated unit that has a queen bed and a queen sleep sofa in the second bedroom. This has actually happened to some members, even though their confirmation letter specified "dedicated". I suspect those are relatively rare exceptions, but it does happen.

I know that when we stayed at SSR and had a dedicated 2BR, there were 2 queens in the 2nd BR. I think that's what confused me about BCV...our dedicated 2BR will only have 1 Q plus a pull-out couch. I don't know why all dedicated 2BRs can't have the 2 queens regardless of resort? I understand about the lockoffs but, oh well! So BCV seems to be in a class all it's own.

If you book a dedicated 2br at SSR there are 2 queens. We stayed in a dedicated 2br at VWL and it had 2 beds.

I found out about the BCV situation by waitlisting it and VWL. The CM entered BCV as the 2queens in 2nd(which has fewer rooms) so of course the VWL dedicated came through first. I found this out after the waitlist came through from information from this message board.

I stayed in one of the BCV dedicated 2br's with the sofa bed and it was clearly stated on the cofirmation letter and on the vacation details of the member website.

Yes, but both those resorts have lock off two bedrooms as well. Just wanted posters to know that it is possible to get a lock off even though you booked a dedicated. It doesn't happen very often, but it has happened.

I don't know why all dedicated 2BRs can't have the 2 queens regardless of resort?

The story - don't know if it is true or not - is that they makes a mistake in the design of BCV, and some of the dedicated rooms are a few inches too short to have two queen beds and still meet all the codes. So they have to have the queen + sofa bed. Apparently, it makes some sense, as the rooms that do have two queens have a different balcony/door setup, which gives them the extra inches they need.
