Which DVC Resort for young children?

DH and I are thinking about purchasing DVC, but have been putting it off since our twin girls are only 15 months old now. Assuming we wouldn't start "going home" until the girls were 3 or 4 -- and when we do go we would probably be focusing on the Magic Kingdom for the first several years -- which resorts should we be thinking about buying in to. Any pros and cons are appreciated!

Thanks

if you are not going for anothe few years then you can hold off, but the prices will keep going up. SSR is the current resort being sold, but you can get most of the others, with the exception of beach Club Villas, which seems to be a long waitlist. The BCV might be great for the kids because of the pool and easy access by boat or walking to Disney/MGM studios and EPCOT. BWV are also in the same area and also have a nice pool although not as nice as BCV. I sent you a pm about it.

I like BWV and BCV for the walk into Epcot and the pools. Also the BW is a destination of itself. Jugglers, performers, games, restaurants, etc. Nice to not have to travel with the kids to eat and play.

I'm sure everyone loves their own home resort best (which is why that's what they bought into)......we chose BWV, but here are a few thoughts on pros/cons of some of the resorts:

VWL--closest to MK; good access to bike paths, etc

BCV --walking distance to EPCOT and longer walk to MGM; awesome pool, but IMO, pool is very difficult to deal with with young children.....it wraps all around and is very spread out.....when they are very young, of course you have to be within an arm's length at all times anyway but when they get a little older and they're at the stage where they can swim but you still want to keep a close eye on them, the BCV pool can be quite a challenge; of course, when they are even older and self-sufficient, they may consider BCV's to have the best pool they've ever seen

BWV -- nice themed pool; separate baby/toddler pool; small playground; Community Hall offering *free!* video games, toys, crafts, ping pong, foosball, etc.; right on the Boardwalk where there is more *free* entertainment wandering around every night; can walk or take boat ride to both EPCOT and MGM

SSR -- Downtown Disney area; I don't personally know much about it, but I hear they have a "zero entry" pool.....that'd be great for young kids

Old Key West -- Larger rooms plus the ability to park right by your unit making loading/unloading and quick trips out to the store or restaurants very convenient

I'm probably forgetting some, but that should get us started.....

No matter what you decide, DVC is great!
