Which DVC resort for Christmas

We are planning a Christmas trip next year and are renting from a DVC member. Which DVC resort would you suggest? This is our first time for the holidays!!

I would try to get VWL or BWV if going for just the resorts.

If shopping then SSR is the closest to DTD.

WL is our favorite for Christmas, but I think it fills up fast.

My next choices would be the Epcot resorts, BW, Yacht and Beach Clubs.

Are you planning on 2006 or 2007? You definitely need to make use of the 11 month window. I called exactly 11 months out, and I'm still on the waitlist! I wanted a 2 bedroom, BW view, and they were gone on the first day. If I get those two days, it probably won't be until 31 days before I leave.

A lot of people really like the WL - the decorations are nice but to me they aren't really Christmasy. They are native american in influence because of the theme of the resort. Also the rooms remind me to much of camping. The roaring fireplace and the relaxing feeling of the resort though are very nice.

My choice is the BWV - the use traditional colors in their Christmas decor. Also I love the mini boardwalk made out of chocolate and all the little details that go with it.

We stayed at VWL last Christmas and visited all the resorts. They are all beautiful in their own way. VWL has a dark, woodsy theme (hence the Wilderness part of the name ) and the villas are away from it all with long dark corridors. I like the openness and more traditional look of BWV and all the Epcot resorts. However, it's a personal taste and wherever you decide to stay, make sure you visit lots of resorts. It is a beautiful time of year, and they all offer something different.

I love either of the Boardwalk resorts. Wandering along the Boardwalk, admiring the garland covered light poles, listening to the Christmas music, admiring the lobbies at both BWV and BCV. And best of all, being able to get to the CP at Epcot in a few minutes from your villa.
