Hi! We are planning on checking out DTD the day we get to disney instead of going to a park, since we don't arrive until the afternoon. We are trying to find a nice place for dinner there. Are choices are Cap'n Jacks or Wolfgang Puck Cafe. Any opinions on either? Thanks!

I have not eaten at Captain Jacks, most reviews are not that great and I doubt I ever will except in an emergency!!! LOL Wolfgang Puck Cafe is one of our "not to be missed" on our trips. It's excellent in our opinion!!!

We ate at Planet Hollywood and LOVED IT! The food and service were both outstanding. DH and I had a rack of BBQ ribs. The atmosphere was so much fun because there's all kinds of movie and TV relics all over the restaurant (which is 2 stories high with an open balcony view of the bottom floor). There is also a DJ and a huge video screen. After we finished dinner we walked around looking at all of the cool memorabilia. The prices are high, but it is on the dining plan so no need to worry.

If you take the bus service to DTD, get off at the 2nd bus stop, not the first one. We made that mistake and had to run from one end to the other to make our ADR on time.

Here we are dining at Planet Hollywood. :cool1:

This wasn't one of your choices, but I really like the food at House of Blues at Downtown Disney Westside.

My family loves Wolfgang Puck's....the food is absolutely wonderful. They even have sushi on the kid's menu (the california roll), since my DD9 loves sushi she really enjoyed that.

I have never been to Captain jacks so I can't comment on that one.

We ate at Planet Hollywood once and we were all really dissapointed for the most part with it. The food is not great but cost is very high, and the day we went the service stunk. The one great thing about it is the atmosphere. All of the great movie related props are really cool.

If you are also looking for a non table service meal, Earl of Sandwich and the Ghiradelli soda fountain are wonderful. :cat:

as it is in Seattle, you won't be disappointed. We have yet to eat at the one in DTD, but we're hoping to make it there this next trip.
