Ok, which is better for food/ atmosphere ..... 1900 ParkFare or 'Ohana???

Which is better for the Water Pagent and which would be less crowded on the beach for the pagent???

The atmosphere at Ohana is wonderful. Very relaxing and certainly does have a realistic Polynesian feeling. Great view of the castle. A nice place to view WISHES if you have reservations at that time. The food however has declined in recent years. We were not happy with the quality or service at Ohana this year.

The food at 1900 Park Fare was better, to us, than Ohana. We didn't care too much for the atmosphere.

As for the water pageant, I haven't seen it at the Grand Floridian so i can't say for sure where you can see it better. You can get a nice view at the Polynesian.

This is just our opinion.

1900 PF has characters, Cinderella and friends, I think at dinner. It is a buffet with good food and a chilled strawberry soup that was great. 1900 PF is quieter and more elegant than Ohanas.

Ohana's is family-style, where they bring lots of food to your table. There are coconut races and other fun activities for the kiddies. There is alot of meat if you want it, but we dont eat very much meat but loved the appetizers, sides, and dessert. Ohanas has a livelier atmosphere that 1900 PF. We really enjoyed the food (especially the amazing dessert).

The atmosphere in each is unique, and the food is quite different, too. I would suggest checking the menus out at allears.net or another site.

We have viewed the EWP from the GF (from our room) and it passes right up next to the hotel. Haven't seen it from the Poly (yet).

'Ohana, hands down!!! We thought 1900 PF was stuffy and the food just ok. The famous strawberry soup was yummy, but really no different than a smoothie IMHO. My kids loved being able to get shrimp and cocktail sauce off the buffet, but other than that, we were not very impressed. Character interaction was decent.

'Ohana was fun and festive. So much for the kids to do, should they choose to get involved. The fire pit is so neat to watch. The view is wonderful. We all really enjoyed all the food offerings, even uber picky DH.

Can't help with the water pageant - sorry!

PS We just served pineapple dipped in warm caramel at DD's 13th bday party (luau theme) this weekend - HUGE hit. I am going to miss that next year when we go to 'Ohana (maybe they'll change it back again by then) but I've heard the new bread pudding is yummy, too!
