Cant decide which one to do? What is the difference beside the menu?

The menu is different, lunch is QS (seat yourself and food is brought out on a cart). You can also order lunch in advance.

Dinner is TS and more formal. Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the beast is only at dinner.

Aside from the different menu, although most of the desserts are identical, the biggest differences are:
a) Lunch is a counter service meal, dinner is table service.
b) The Beast only appears at dinner. After you finish dining you can have a photo op with him.
c) Beer and wine are available only at dinner.

This morning was our 180 day window and we were able to snag a lunch and dinner on the same day. We decided to keep the dinner because of the different menus and getting a picture with Beast.

We do both typically but we prefer dinner. Lunch is still a quick service meal and just not that great. We had dinner there just the other day and it was really very good. The pork chop was tender and delicious and I really loved the macaroni au gratin it came with. Which totally surprised me as it's not something I'd normally eat. Even the dinner rolls were some of the better rolls we had this trip. DH had the slow cooked pork and loved that as well. Not sure how much that differs from lunch but I had it at lunch and it was good but too salty. Even ODS who never eats all of his chicken devoured it and said it was the best he ever had, lol.

We had a great server and ambiance is just a bit fancier at dinner. DH also enjoys his beer so that's a plus for him. And we all love the Beast and it's our only opportunity to meet him.

ETA: We also did not have to stand in a long line waiting for a kiosk at dinner like we did at lunch. If you preorder your lunch you get right in but if you aren't sure what you want or need to talk to a chef like we did you may still be spending a good amount of time in line out in the sun. I wasn't expecting that.

Definitely prefer dinner over lunch. We like the dinner menu so much more. Last trip we had fps for lunch and it was a horrible experience. So I won't be going back for lunch anytime soon but dinner yes!!! We scored an early dinner adr for our MVMCP night on 11/12 and I am so excited!

We were just there for lunch, couldn't get an ADR for dinner. I thought the food was good, soups and cupcakes very good. Downside is we waited 5+ minutes outside, then waited 20+ minutes inside to order at kiosks. This was at 1:30pm on a slow weekday with low crowds. I didn't mind finding a seat and getting our own silverware and drinks, I like picking our own table. Lunch was not that expensive.

My parents and other family went there for dinner on same trip. They sorta liked it, but said it was expensive, and they ended up getting seated in the West Wing, where it was dark and there was recurring thunder and lightning. I don't think they asked to move, but sounds like they didn't have a very relaxing dinner because it was loud.

I would definitely do lunch again, but on next trip would shoot for dinner because we haven't done it yet.

We absolutely love the dinner, it is a must for us. Now with that being said, my kids and I tried the lunch for the first time in January and really liked it. I have a reservation for lunch for our October trip and am trying to find a dinner reservation as well. DH wanted to try lunch because of all the great things were saying about it (he wasn't with us on our January trip).

As far as food goes, both lunch and dinner are great. At dinner, you get a more elegant atmosphere, and of course, you get to see the Beast!!! Lunch being a quick service meal, and dinner being a table service meal.

Is the picture with the Beast on a memory maker photo?

Was this with a reservation or fastpass?

It was ADR, we planned our trip 4 months in advance, and were able to get a lunch ADR inside 90 days. We were there the end of April. I didn't think they were doing the BOG FP any more?

I did manage to get an 8:10pm dinner but dont know if we want one that late. How long will dinner take ? We are not planning on watching the fireworks that night but plan on riding a few rides before they close.

Wow you lucky thing ! I have been searching for a dinner earlier then what we have. We have 8:10pm and that is the earliest I seem to be able to get.

Have been to lunch at BOG 4 times and we absolutely love it. Seems so much more relaxing at lunch being able to choose your own room, walk around and see other areas, etc. Seems it would be a little awkward at night, don't know, haven't been, plus the menu looks better to us. We love the braised pork, also the french onion soup. The desserts look just meh to us, so we wait and get our snack desserts later wherever. As for the beast, pics with him are not a must do for us.

We prefer dinner over lunch. Last summer we did both (back when lunch was still a FP), and found lunch to be loud and hectic, and it was hard to find a seat.
The food at lunch was good, though, in particular the steak sandwich, the roasted pork, the master's cupcake and the strawberry cupcake.

Dinner was another animal altogether! It was so calm, quiet, and relaxed! Our server was great, and not just with us, I could hear her interacting with the other guests around us. She did not have the same canned, rehearsed spiel to deliver to each of us, and was just very pleasant and knowledgeable about the restaurant. Everything we had for dinner was amazing: DH's steak was cooked perfectly, my salmon was incredible, oldest DS had the dinner version of the pork and LOVED it, youngest had the kids fish of the day and was very happy. We did not have dessert with dinner, but DH and I both had a beer. After a humid, rainy day, it was a nice respite.

We were seated in the West Wing for both meals. I was glad to be there, because the rose is such a treat to see, and I love how the portrait changes when the "storm" starts outside and the lightning flashes. I do hope we get put in the ballroom next time though! During dinner, the Beast makes a pass through the rooms at varying times, and when you finish your meal, you make your way to his library where he greets you and takes a photo with you (that goes on your memory maker).

We have both lunch and dinner booked for this trip on the same day, but I made my family pick one, and every one of them chose dinner as the favorite, so we'll be having dinner there again on our last full park day. We also have a breakfast booked there for our first MK day of the trip as well, and I'm excited to see how it goes :)

If you're really interested in having a meal there, just keep checking. I see posts about additional reservations becoming available quite frequently. Good luck and have fun on your upcoming vacation!!!
