Which do you prefer: ASMo or POP???

Here's the deal...Dh and I stayed at All Stars Movies last June and had a very pleasant stay. We just recently had a baby though and plan to take her to WDW around her 1st b-day. My mom might also be joining us, we don't know yet. We plan to go the first week of May. I recently have been reading great things about POP and am wondering if we should stay there instead. I would like to know from those who have stayed at both resorts which they liked better. Keep in mind we will have a 1 year old with us. My mom is not an issue b/c she is pretty easy to please and likes the values more than some of the moderates. I want to know which has better pools, which is less spread out, which is better with a 1 year old, etc. Just give me any info. you want and all opinions are welcome. TIA!!!

Having stayed at both, I vote for POP. While both are basically the same in terms of room size & layout, I thought the rooms were much nicer at POP (decorated really nicely).

I also loved the food court at POP. Very cool decor with the music from the different era's playing. We enjoyed watching the cast members do "The Hustle"!

We really love Pop, the layout is so nice and it really seems like a small resort even though it's so large, it's just really well laid out. We love the central area at Classic Hall and with the food court and shop and arcade all right there, it's so nice. The room decor is simple and we really like it.

I think the major thing we love is that they have their own bus, no sharing with the other all stars. The bus transportation is so quick and easy there.

We love POP! We stayed there in April and will be going back in October. The only thing I like better about ASMo is the theme. You can't beat the giant Disney movie characters. Since we've stayed at ASMo a few times already we were ready for a change and were excited to stay at the newer POP resort.

Just a bit of info (in case you don't already know)...
POP has 3 pools: Hippy Dippy flower pool, Bowling Pin pool, and Computer pool. It also has a kiddie pool and Goofy's Pop Jets.

Hmmm...POP seems to be winning! It looks nice to me from what I have seen and I also like the fact that it doesn't share its busses with the other resorts but I was mainly concerned with the layout. It sounds great though so if Dh agrees then we may stay there instead of ASMo this time. Anyone else want to give an opinion?

And thanks Disney_1derland! We think she's beautiful too, but of course we're biased!

I just stayed at Pop for the first time in April. I do prefer the food court offering at Pop, mainly because of those grilled flatbread thigns--but maybe they have them at AS now??? _I_ though Pop was more spread out that AS Movies or Music, but not Sports. There is one section of Pop, as you are looking at the lobby from the outside, that si on the farm, far left. It looked to be quite a hike from the main building.

When I looked at the map, before our first stay, it looked like some of the buildings were VERY far away from Classic Hall, but it's really not as bad as it seems. We stayed in the 70's Big Wheel building (B on the map) and were very happy with the location.

I like them both, but I have to lean towards POP because of the food court. They seem to have a better selection of items and the space just seems brighter and cleaner and less dowdy than ASMo.

I've stayed at both and I prefer the Movie resort. The service at POP was average...definitely not Disney quality.
