We have two days at Epcot. Well 1.5 really. We need to ride TT, Soarin & Frozen. But we also need to see Baymax & Inside characters! We will need to FP TT for our first day/evening then I figure we will FP frozen for the second day. So I figured best strategy was to go to either Soarin or th characters right at rope drop. We will plan on being at Epcot no later than 8:15. Which should we do first? The characters or Soarin to save the most time? We are going Sept 10th when we will do that plan. Thanks!!!

I'd do Soarin'.

I read one post I think on easywdw saying those characters should be top priority. You think going straight to Soarin and getting done hopefully quick the waits for them won't be to bad yet? But also they are on the way to Soarin so we'd be back tracking!

Soarin. Test Track has a Singles riders line that goes faster than the regular line. You an all stay together right up to the moment you jump into cars.

Depending on the ages of your group, I'd do one of the following -

Day 1:
FP Soarin
Characters @RD
Single rider TT right after

Day 2: choice @ RD (whatever you'd like to repeat)
FP Frozen

OR

DAY 1
FP TT
Characters @ RD

DAY 2
FP Frozen
Soarin @RD

Under no circumstances would I standby Soarin anytime other than RD. (For me, that line is torture and pushing the limits even WITH a FP or at RD.)

Our kids are 7 & 4 so def no single riders for us. Our first Epcot day is arriving around three. The FP spaceship earth, Frozen & prob figment. The full day were there I was thinking rope drop Soarin or characters then do the other, FP TT, turtle talk and something else pointless.

when you arrive the first day check out the wait times for the characters - if around a half hour to 45 minutes, then I'd get in line right then, or just keep on checking whenever you are in the neighborhood, like after one of your other rides

That's a good idea. We plan on trying to do the Visa Disney characters that day. Is there a chance there would be Soarin left for a 4th FP? Or does it get slower towards later at night?

The only thing that might shorten the Standby lines is when it gets close to Illuminations - if you don't plan to watch that (and some little ones find the noise too much, since it is in a somewhat enclosed area and you are fairly close to the fireworks), then getting in line at the end of the day should make for a shorter wait. Also, I believe as long as you are in line before 9 PM, you can get on the ride, regardless of how long the wait time is.
