Need help in purchasing Disneyworld passes.

Going down in March for 10 days and want to go to the parks for 5 days and be able to go to a different park in the evenings. Also want to go to the 2 water parks. Can I spread this out over the 10 days without going to the parks on some days just for some shopping and relaxation by the pool.

What type of pass should I buy??

You want a 5 day hopper with the plusses. I think you have 10 days after first day of use to complete your ticket.

If you go through ticketmania (with the mousesavers newsletter) you can actually get a 6 day premium for cheaper than 5. So why not go that way, that way you have the extra day if you so chose without paying the extra! All tickets expire 14 days after the first day use unless you purchase the no expiry part.

Yes you can spread your park visits over your 10 day stay. A day spent only in water parks and Disney Quest does not count as a park day.

If you can foresee a future vacation (not necessarily your next vacaion) when you can survive wholly on leftovers, it is worth upgrading the 5 or 6 day pass to 10 days (including the days already used) and getting non-expiration. It costs USD $125. to upgrade a 5 day expiring pass to 10 days non-expiring at Guest Relations regardless of where you bought the pass, how much you paid, or whether the pass had the water parks fun option.

I ran out of days on my last trip using a left over pass and had to buy 1 day at the gate for $63.64 and the park hopping options was too pricy. From now on I am buying minmum 7 days from Ticketmania or CAA and just re-using it for future trips.
