i mean how bad is it if we do go for thanksgiving. Is it super busy and you barley get on anything. Is mybe animal kingdom less busy

It's super crowded. Thanksgiving is a major US holiday with many kids off from school multiple days that week (my DS has off the entire week). If I were going that week, I would probably skip the parks altogether on Thursday/Friday/Saturday.

Could be for other reasons as well...! I voted for the same but it was so you have less park days over Thanksgiving week which is more crowded. You won't escape entirely by arriving to the parks the day after the actual holiday, but you will avoid some of the chaos vs being there the whole week. We also really prefer the Fantasy over the Wish, and THEN I guess because you visit the new island factors in too.

We are planning to visit around the same time in '24 and had the same quandary. Originally we were going to use less vaca time and be there that week, but ultimately we decided it wasn't worth it. The cruise itself is 1K cheaper if we go the next week, we can use our OBB on top of the price difference since it won't be blacked out, parks should be less crowded, AND Epcot should have their holiday offers in full swing by then too.

I would do the Fantasy, because you know the ship = less pressure to do it all = more time to relax. I haven't been on the Wish, but what I have been reading it is more over the top (maybe overstimulating) than the other ships.

Totally pick the Fantasy!!!! Not a fan of the Wish. After 15 sailings with DCL I really prefer Dream, Fantasy, Magic and Wonder!!!!

so it’s our booking window for silver today

We think we are going to go for the fantasy and the new island

I did fancy doing the wish to see the new ship but we would be arriving 5 days before thanks giving and the crown Calendar is showing red for busy for 7 of our days

we will have three year old twins so I’m a bit concerned about the queue times. If I do the fantasy and the new island it shows more less green for the full two weeks at the parks.

Based on that I think we are just going to go for the fantasy and our first day in the parks then isn’t until the weekend just after thanksgiving

just hoping me made the right choice. I seen a lot of people rathers the fantasy over the wish too

I didn't vote for 7 nights because of the new island. I voted for it because a 7 night cruise is usually better than a 4 night cruise, and because Disney World over Thanksgiving would probably be a royal pain with all of the crowds.

Have a great cruise! The Fantasy is my favorite ship. You chose well. When booking the Fantasy, avoid getting a far aft stateroom, because she has some periodic vibration issues in the aft.

I think you made the right choice! You get something new with the new island, and a less busy time in the parks.

we booked a balcony on midship deck 8 can’t decide if I should pay 30 more for midship deck 10

im guessing there’s not much difference or does anyone have a preference between those two?

I'd stick with deck 8. Deck 10 can have some noise from the pool deck (chairs getting dragged around.)
