Have to go with AP! Totally let us down. The "show" was really a let down. Guess I expected more? The food was the worse. We were all dissappointed on our table. I plan to skip it from now on.

Tritons: Was our 1st nite, so we were excited, got to meet everyone, the room is very elegant. And the menu I really liked much to my surprise. :confused3 & We prefer only fairly, regular american cuisine only. It just felt like a very magical nite.

PC: Time to get noisy & loud, let your hair down & party! They go nuts in here. The food is good, and alot of it. our waiter was eagerly handing out 2 or 3 extra desserts per table to "try" it cause of people not coming to dinner the last nite. But its a party from the time we got here. We also had breakfast here one day and you cannot judge dinner by that unfortunately. Its the total ambiance at nite that makes this place. We said to each other, this is the resturant they said to skip?

AP: Its subdued, quiet everyone is waiting for the "show" and then you figure out it is the show. And that is pretty much it. I've read that there used to be some kind of mickey with shooting fireworks that would help. But the big line of waiters in the dinning room only seem to draw out the meal longer. The TV travel channel really builds up the music part of it, but we could not hear it where we where sitting hardly at all. And it was pretty quiet except for eating noises. I like the "idea" of AP and the room is beauitful with so much potential, we where so dissappointed. Also we felt the food was the poorest of the 3 offered. Half of our table went for the steak with baked potatoe at the bottom of the menu.

But I am glad we tried all 3 main choices our 1st time. next week we plan on Palo's, & Room service. Playing day to day. But doubt we will eat in the main rooms took up to much time, and 2nd seating is too late, miss to many things for us.

Have a great cruise, check out the menu's and factor in everything, but its too bad you have to skip any of them. Best is to try them all once, and have the experince the 1st time. That's why we skipped Palo's the 1st time. And saved something "new" for this trip. Good luck, Mky princess:

I'd suggest you review the menus from both places and see which one you wouldn't mind missing or which you don't want to miss. I do not like the food at AP that much.

How do you just skip? Do you tell someone somewhere that you won't be doing dinner? I'm new to the whole cruise and rotational dining thing, but won't they be expecting you?

We tell our severs the night before that we have Palo reservations for the next night just so they know. You don't really need to tell them; I'm sure people miss dinner all the time for various reasons (too tired, late excursion, etc.). On our last cruise, we told them that none of us (family of 4) would be there, and they insisted that the boys (13 & 14) come without us. They had a great time on their own!

To answer the OP's question, I would skip PC. Just a matter of personal preference; I like the atmosphere and the menu better at Triton's.

We have two young daughter's so, it was kind of based on what they liked. They loved AP, we had dinner there twice. They loved the dancing at PC and really could have skipped Triton's. They wanted to play on the stairs more than anything.

I like Triton's menu better than PC (take a look at the menus online to see if you agree), but PC is more fun, tropical, and relaxed. If you had kids with you, I would say go to PC and skip Triton's. But since it looks like you and DH, I'd say go for a more "formal" time, and have Palo, AP, and Triton's. :love2:
(Unless you feel that Palo's answers your need for "formal" time and you want a break from it--then do PC.)

HTH!

Okay someone check me on this, but when deciding on which meal to skip or which one to not miss, shouldn’t the day be more important than the venue?

The three “Restaurants” are all feed by the same kitchen, which in effect makes them just different seating areas of the same restaurant. Aren’t the menus and “shows” all the same at each restaurant each night (with the exception of the AP show)?

Neither - I would skip AP. Food was worst we had, and I loved the music at PC. We missed Triton's due to 3 day and we ate at Palo's, but I really have no interest in AP again.
I agree with you. The Palo night turned out to be Tritons both times.
I didn't care for the food the first time and again the 2nd. My rest of the family all raved about the food at Tritons compared to AP. So this time it will be AP we will be missing.
