Which dessert party?

So, there are 2 different dessert parties for the new MK fireworks show. There is the Tomorrowland Terrace Viewing Party and the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. Has anyone done these? What is the difference and which is better?

For the best views of the SHOW, (and a fine dessert selection beforehand) you want the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing.

I agree with Robo. For the best views of the show, pick the Plaza Garden viewing option. The dessert party portion for each party is in the same area - the Tomorrowland Terrace. The difference there is that guests with Terrace viewing will be seated (first come, first served) on the lower level by the railing on the terrace. Those with Plaza Garden viewing will be seated on the upper terrace (and possibly the "mezzanine" right above the terrace viewers). The desserts are exactly the same. About 15 minutes before showtime, the plaza garden guests will be escorted to the garden where there are zero crowds and a spectacular view. There is no place to sit, however. So the biggest difference is standing with a great view with the plaza garden viewing or sitting with a side view with the terrace viewing. We love the Plaza Garden party!

Yes, absolutely! You check in at the Tomorrowland Terrace and those with Plaza Garden viewing are seated at tables on the upper part of the terrace. There is a whole dessert buffet up there, so you can get your desserts and beverages and then sit at the tables for the dessert portion of the party. About 15 minutes prior to the fireworks, the CM's will escort the plaza garden guests to the garden for the fireworks viewing while the terrace guests (who are sitting on the lower portion of the terrace) remain seated for the show.

Thanks so much! We did the terrace party a couple years ago, and then last year had a FP for garden view of fireworks, so this seems to combine the 2! I didn't love the view from the tomorrowland terrace.

I just booked it. I can handing all the walking at Disney it's the standing that kills me so getting a great view of the new show without standing for 2 hours sounds perfect!

It looks like you just got a June reservation. Did you book online or call? I have been trying for the past 2 weeks to book the Tomorrowland Dessert party for October with no luck. It shows blue on the calendar with no availability for several dates. Should I just wait or is it worth a call to see if it is really sold out? My experience is that the CMs never know any more than is on the website - they can't see if it is sold out or not yet available for booking. Thoughts?

First of many questions. I understand with wishes it was better to be back a bit since the fireworks look better but why is closer not as good now? Still factoring in fireworks? How well can you see projections? Wherever they did the live stream from I was having problems seeing some of the smaller projections.

4. Wherever they did the live stream from I was having problems seeing some of the smaller projections.

1. & 2. Being "too close" to the castle is still the same problem for blocking the "main" fireworks.
3. Being too far away from the castle will diminish seeing the finer points of the projections.
4. Video and streaming have their own set of degradation that can lower the visual details.

So, the map in post #2 of this thread still is accurate pertaining to the new show.
