We’re at a hotel in MI right now and the beds are so uncomfortable that it got me thinking about our upcoming trip to BC. Does BC have pillowtop or are they they super firm bouncy mattresses that are meant to torture? I’m in so much pain right now that I’m willing to spend another $1,000 for a deluxe with comfy mattresses. Of the on-site deluxe resorts, which beds are the best?

We are in the AKL and the beds are super comfortable. Sorry we haven't been to the BC in years but when we were there I don't remember the beds being uncomfortable. I too would pay a lot for a comfortable bed.

Haven't been to BC in years, but just stayed at BWI in June and thought the bed was very comfortable.

Mattress comfort is totally subjective. i prefer FIRM mattress over pillow top. I think the BC are comfortable

I don’t remember if they were pillow top but was at BC last September and my mom has back problems and loved their mattresses. I remember them being super comfortable.

Beds at BC are the best hotel beds I've ever slept in. I was ready to strap it to my car and take it home!!!

I was thinking the same thing. One person may think what OP finds in their hotel now is the most comfortable bed they've ever slept on. It's pretty much impossible to get an answer to "the most comfortable bed" just as it is to get the "best resort"

Exactly! DW and I both really dislike pillow top beds. We have been in rooms where one bed felt great and the one next to it was awful. Beds at the same resort could have a totally different feel between them.

I agree that it's subjective, I hate pillow tops - give me a slab of concrete and a blanket. :cloud9:

I liked BC beds last year . Also stayed at wlv and they weren't as comfy. Years ago Dolphin beds were to die for but not sure now. I have never slept on a bad bed at wdw though

We were at the BC from 8/1-8/6 and let’s jsut say the bed was squeaky and not comfy!

We moved to the Poly on the 6th and I was so happy to have a decent mattress to sleep on.

By the time I get to bed at WDW I'm so tired I could sleep on a pile of sharp rocks. We became DVC members about 12 years ago, I don't recall ever having a bad mattress.:earsboy:

OKW years ago, before renovations, (at least the king in the 1BR+) was legendary for its frequent complaints for having super firm mattresses (I think they felt between concrete and diamond on the Rockwell hardness chart).
They were actually a Simmons latex foam mattress which was a fairly expensive mattress in its day.

Requesting egg crate foam was a common housekeeping request... which I think is still possible at any WDw resort if you think the bed is too firm.
